Rolling Stone once named it "the worst song of this or any other year." But maybe Robin Thicke had the last laugh with "Blurred Lines."

After all, the star-studded track had a 12-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent a whopping 48 on the coveted chart.

Monday, June 22 marks 13 years since "Blurred Lines" began its reign despite the critical dismay (such as the above-mentioned blaring headline courtesy of Rolling Stone). In addition to the mixed reviews, Thicke, 49, even released a music video for his single that features models Emily Ratajkowski, Jessi M'Bengue and Elle Evans completely topless.

Said "unrated" version was removed from YouTube for violating the site's terms of service regarding nudity, though it was later restored — but flagged as inappropriate. The topless "Blurred Lines" edition reportedly peaked at No. 1 in 14 countries.

Rapper T.I. and singer/producer Pharrell Williams are both featured in "Blurred Lines," whose legacy is unfortunately overshadowed both by the lawsuit the song’s performers have been embroiled in with the Marvin Gaye estate — who (successfully) posited that “Blurred Lines” infringed upon Gaye’s ’70s chart-topper “Got to Give it Up” — and by the murky waters its subject matter has treaded in, per Billboard.

The lyrics have suggested to listeners underlying notions of sexual consent and objectification of women, while others argued that it was just a catchy reworking of the Gaye classic. Nevertheless, the lyrics to “Blurred Lines” — as well as the song’s controversial music video — were endlessly interpreted.

These days, Thicke serves as a panelist on The Masked Singer, whose upcoming 15th season will now be produced by Eureka Productions, the Fremantle-owned company behind shows including The Floor, Farmer Wants a Wife and Netflix’s The Mole. The move marks a significant shift for the franchise, which had been produced internally by Fox Entertainment Studios in recent years.

Corey Glover, the iconic frontman of the band Living Colour, teased fans with what to expect from the upcoming album.

Earlier this year, the 61-year-old singer revealed that they are working on their seventh studio album, expected to be released spring of this year.

As fans await the highly anticipated project, Glover opened up about the journey and process of making the album.

In his interview with SiriusXM's Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, the vocalist admitted that he isn't fully happy with the songs or the progress so far.

"We've written a few things and we've recorded a few things. Personally, I'm not satisfied just yet,” he told the hard rock and heavy metal talk show.

Despite the challenge, Glover assured fans that the album is in full swing. However, the band needs to focus and spend more time creating and developing a new record.

As for the release date, no definite schedule has been set yet.

“We need to really go in there and sort of sit down and concentrate on making a record,” he said. “And once we do that, I think we'll be good. I don't know when that's gonna be or how that's gonna work, but I can't wait for it to happen."

The unreleased album will be Living Colour’s first since their 2017 record Shade.

Drummer Will Calhoun initially shared a glimpse of the album, promising “a lot of interesting ideas” that would help shape its sound and direction without giving up the band's signature vibe.

“Obviously there's a lot of political things going on in the world and certainly in this country. So the sound now for me is a little bit closer to Stain,” he shared to Chile's iRock.cl. Referring to the band’s third studio album. “But it's still also a bit of a new sound for the band. There's some things that we wanna go back to, some people that we worked with that did a great job when working with the band. But I don't think that honestly we have a sound for the record yet. I think we're in the writing stages. We're trying out sounds, we're seeing what things work and don't work.”

Calhoun also hoped that with the release of their new album, they could “bring in new fans and not disappoint the old ones."

Apart from Glover and Calhoun, Living Colour’s current lineup includes founder and guitarist Vernon Reid as well as Doug Wimbish on bass guitar and backing vocals.

In just four minutes, the iconic “Fire and Rain” kitchen dance scene lays bare the film’s emotional core: a family bound by love, haunted by their past, and painfully aware that their time together is running out. This is why The Hollywood Reporter named the scene as one of the greatest needle drops in film history.

“Taylor’s musically sweet, lyrically devastating ballad is the perfect encapsulation of Sidney Lumet’s elegy to ’60s idealism,” THR writes. “Playing over the Pope family as they wash up after dinner, dancing and singing along, the song is both balm and burden.”

Released in September 1988, the classic drama stars River Phoenix, Christine Lahti, JuddHirsch, and Martha Plimpton. Nominated for two Academy Awards and the winner of one Golden Globe, Lumet’s film is a coming-of-age drama that follows Danny (Phoenix), a gifted teenager whose parents are 1960s radicals who endure a fugitive lifestyle with their two children. When Danny discovers his love of the piano and falls for his musicteacher’s daughter, he’s forced to choose between his family and the independence he yearns for.

The famous kitchen sequence comes about midway through the film. The scene sees Danny’s family and new girlfriend clear the table after a birthday dinner, then launch into a joyful sing-along to “Fire and Rain,” which is playing on the radio. Lumet holds the camera steady for several minutes for an unbroken shot, while deliberately contrasting the bittersweet moment with a song about loss, tragedy, and pain.

Released in the summer of 1970, Taylor’s “Fire and Rain” appeared on his sophomore album, Sweet Baby James. Deeply personal, the track unfolds over three verses: the first about the loss of a childhood friend, the second about Taylor’s heroin addiction, and the third about recovering at a mental hospital. The song hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, charting for 16 weeks and proving how deeply it resonated with fans. 

“I’m surprised really at how durable [the song] is, or how reliable the connection--the emotional connection it makes is,” Taylor once explained to NPR.

He added that writing the song was a massive relief and source of healing for him: “That song relieved a lot of tension," he said. "There [were] things that I needed to get rid of, or at least get out of me. … It was actually a relief, like a laugh or a sigh.”

With “Fire and Rain” turning 56 years old this summer, there’s no better time to revisit--or discover--Lumet’s film. It’s available on multiple streaming platforms. At the very least, watch the film’s pivotal scene that transforms Taylor's classic ballad into one of the greatest movie-music moments of all time.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt just shared a cryptic post to her Instagram Stories, and it’s making everyone wonder if her maternity leave is officially over.

Leavitt gave birth to her second child, daughter Viviana Riccio (with husband Nicholas Riccio), on May 1. Baby ‘Vivi’ joined almost-two-year-old brother Niko Riccio (born on July 10, 2024), making their family a party of four. The mom of two posted Vivi’s birth announcement on May 7, sharing a precious mommy-daughter pic and writing, “She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment on our blissful newborn bubble.”

Based on Leavitt’s social media, she, Nicholas, Niko, and Vivi stayed in that “newborn bubble” for quite some time. On June 8, she posted a cute carousel of family photos, including sweet snapshots on the beach and at home. 

Her first public appearance sans Niko and Vivi was at UFC Freedom 250 fight night. Leavitt shared photos of herself and her husband, Nicholas, captioning the post, “Mom + Dad night out.” While Karoline wasn’t at the White House in an official capacity, it appears she may have returned to her job just over one week later.

Leavitt posted a selfie to her Instagram Stories on Monday evening. Even though the 28-year-old sharing a pic of herself isn’t exactly news, the context of this photo is notable. 

The image is clearly a shot of Leavitt on a TV monitor. And that’s not the only clue. The Press Secretary also added a location (Fox News) and set the clip to AC/DC’s ‘Back In Black’ (she’s wearing a black button-down top). 

If you weren’t tuned in to Fox News on June 22, you may have missed what seems to be Leavitt’s return from maternity leave. Of course, if you didn’t catch her live, Fox News shared videos on X of Leavitt talking to Sean Hannityabout Donald Trump’s talks with Iran and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. 

The new mom (for the second time) did say to Hannity, “Well, the baby is certainly much more enjoyable to talk about, Sean,” before starting in on the algae issue. 

Leavitt is yet to formally announce her return from maternity leave.

Full Houseand Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin is opening up about being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

In an appearance on the June 16 episode of actor Michael Rosenbaum's podcast, Inside of You, Sweetin shared that she was struggling with anxiety and perimenopause during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

"I'm pretty sure somewhere in there, like, a small nervous breakdown," said Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, with a laugh.

She said she began going to therapy, and her therapist asked her if she had "ever been evaluated for ADHD." Sweetin suggested that she never considered that she had ADHD until her two daughters, Zoie, 18, and Beatrix, 15, "were struggling with it." Sweetin said that after looking at her children's evaluation scores, she realized she likely also had ADHD.

"I went to have [my daughters] tested, and I looked at all of the scores. I was like, 'I would score myself higher on all of these things than I probably would them,'" said Sweetin on the podcast episode.

Sweetin said after she was diagnosed with ADHD, she was prescribed a low dose of Ritalin. The actress said she immediately felt a sense of relief after taking the medication. She explained that before the medication, she had a constant internal dialogue of shame because she couldn't do certain tasks like making a dentist appointment or remembering to eat.

"It's like your feet are frozen in concrete and someone is screaming at you to get up while simultaneously screaming at you that you won't and you're a piece of s--t because you can't," said the 44-year-old. "And within an hour of taking my meds that first day, I cried because the noise in my head finally quieted. And I could go about my day without feeling like I'm having to, literally, haul my body through everything that I'm doing, in order to focus, in order to get it done, in order to like start something or finish. I called my psychiatrist the next week, and I was like, 'Oh my god, this is life-changing. I can't even believe that I waited this long.'"

Sweetin, who is now sober, also shared she believed that her ADHD is the reason "stimulants were always [her] drug of choice" when she went through substance abuse issues.

"What I realized is that was my brain looking for the thing that it doesn't have in all the wrong places," explained Sweetin while recording the Inside of You episode.

There's no question that David Gates is one of the most beloved singer-songwriters of all time. It's been over 50 years since Bread first topped the charts, but the sound of his unmistakable voice is still bringing fans joy, and tracks like "Make It With You" and "If" remain among the most popular soft rock hits in history. Then, of course, there’s the iconic classic, “Baby I’m-A Want You.”

Interestingly, while Bread’s album of the same name wasn’t released until January 1972, the song “Baby I’m-A Want You” was actually released several months earlier, in October of 1971. As a result, the track was already a hit before the album even came out. One of the band’s highest charting singles ever, “Baby I’m-A Want You” peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went all the way to the top of Easy Listening Chart, helping to boost the success of the album “Baby I’m-A Want You” (which also peaked at #3).

But as Gates himself explained years earlier, the song almost sounded very different.

"I had written the song on piano, and when we recorded it on piano, it had no life,” he recalled, per Songfacts.

“I went home demoralizeed, because I knew it was a good song. So I tried it on guitar and raised it a whole key, then redid it. It made all the difference in the world," he added.

As for that distinct title and chorus, Gates decided to turn “baby I’m gonna want you” into “baby I’m-a want you” while he was trying out different combinations of syllables to see which fit best with the melody. Since “I’m-a” worked for that line, he used it again:

Naturally, “Baby I’m-A Want You” was popular with fans, but it won critics over, too. In fact, at the time of its release, both Cash Box and Record World called the song a “return” to the band’s “original sound.”

In his review of the album for Rolling Stone, David Lubin praised the song "Baby I'm-A Want You" as superior to earlier tunes like "Make It With You" (even if the title puzzled him somewhat).

"I've given a lot of thought to how David Gates came up with a title like 'Baby I'm-A Want You,' and all I can figure is that either he just had bad need of an extra syllable, or he was making some sort of phonetic tribute to Paul McCartney's 'Maybe I'm Amazed,'" Lubin quipped.

Comments on a YouTube performance clip of Bread performing "Baby I'm-A Want You" proved the song is still resonating with listeners, even those who were born decades later.

"I'm 28 and still listening to this 51+ year old song. It calms your soul," wrote one fan, with a second adding, "I'm 22 and i consider this song to be a masterpiece."

"30 years old, and if I ever get remarried, would love to hear this at my reception," yet another person commented.

"Baby I'm-A Want You" is a big streaming hit: At the time of this writing, it's been streamed 146,064,719 times on Spotify alone.

Legendary music executive Clive Davis died Monday at his home in Manhattan at the age of 84. He was responsible for signing dozens of artists, including Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen and others. Many of those artists paid tribute to Davis following the announcement of his passing.

Guitarist Joe Perry, who co-wrote the song with Tyler, left the band while the album was in the works and it stalled at No. 14 when it was released, although it eventually was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Assn. of America from sales of 1 million units.

In the song, Tyler recounts the band’s rise with lyrics about their meeting with the legendary music executive, then at Columbia Records.

“Nineteen seventy-one / We all heard the starters gun / New York was such a pity
But at Max's Kansas City we won / We all shot the shit at the bar
With Johnny O'Toole and his scar / And then old Clive Davis said
I'm surely gonna make us a star /I'm gonna make you a star
Just the way you are / But with all his style / I could see in his eyes
That we is goin' to trial / It was no surprise…”

It didn’t happen overnight, but Aerosmith did become stars after the song “Dream On,” from their 1973 debut album, was re-released as a single in 1975 and later reached No. 6 on the Hot 100.

By that time, however, Davis had left Columbia. He was fired from the label amid claims he used the label’s funds for his personal expenses.

Davis, of course, would have the last laugh, making history at Arista Records with a bevy of superstar signings including Barry Manilow, Patti Smith, Whitney Houston and others.

Aerosmith wasn’t the only act to drop Davis’s name in a song over the years. Around the same time Aerosmith dropped “No Surprize,” Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead began to change the lyrics of the band’s “Jack Straw” from "we used to play for silver, now we play for life" to "we used to play for acid, now we play for Clive,” following the band’s move to Arista Records.

Eminem dropped a reference to Davis in his 2000 hit “The Real Slim Shady” and Busta Rhymes has a track on his 2001 album Genesis called "Intro" that features a staged phone call between music executive and the rapper.

Other mentions include NSYNC’s “Pop” from 2001, which includes a shoutout to Davis and his label J Records. In "Talk" by DJ Khaledfeaturing Kanye West & T-Pain from 2008, West gives a nod to the music legend’s parties with the line: “In the middle of the island, throwin' parties like Clive Davis..."

Another rapper also referred to the music executive in 2018. In the song "All I Know" by Nipsey Hussle featuring J Stone, the rapper and aspiring record mogul rapped, "I'm independent but my vision Clive Davis..."

Podcaster Candace Owens is alive and well — and pregnant!

"You guys were correct. I am with child. I am expecting another child," Owens shared via social media on Monday, June 22. "A lot of you guys had sussed that out. Genuinely, within the first four weeks of my pregnancy. I actually found out, I am not kidding, that I was pregnant from you guys. You guys were in the comments, you were asking questions."

The conservative influencer — who is already mother to four children, whom she shares with husband George Farmer — revealed that she is expecting another baby boy.

"I grow, sort of increasingly violent when I am — something about growing a boy inside of you that makes you want to aggress," she added. "I don't understand it, but I want to physically fight people. There's nothing I can do about it, it's a condition."

While she did not reveal when she is due with baby No. 5, Owens gave birth to her fourth child, a son named Roman, in May 2025. She also shares daughter Louise, born in July 2022, son Max, born in 2023, and another son whose name has not been revealed, born in January 2021, with Farmer.

The news comes just days after Owens was forced to shut down rumors that she had died after a tweet from fellow podcaster Lilly Gaddis went viral.

"Candace Owen’s family reached out to me earlier this morning, it is with deep sadness and sorrow that I am sharing the passing of my long time friend and fellow political commentator, Candace," the since-deleted tweet read. "But I also can’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t simply a random tragedy. There are circumstances surrounding Candace’s death, especially after Charlie’s [Kirk] passing, that raise serious questions, and I hope the full truth comes to light."

Owens responded via X on Saturday, June 20, simply writing, "Thank you all for the messages of concern but I am not dead."

She further addressed the hoax on Monday, revealing that her parents and family members asked her to "post a sign of life."

"I think people do these things to get into your head psychologically," she said. "I did not die this weekend...I did not slow down my weekend in any way at all. I can't live in a cage. A bird can't fly in a cage. I did a lot of things this weekend, dying was not one of them. In fact, it's the opposite. I'm growing life.

The View is asking audience members to “act now” in response to threats from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

On Monday, June 22, the television show ran a 20-second advertisement that requested viewers to “use your voice” by scanning a QR code, with a deadline of July 6.

The clip used archival footage of the talk show’s co-creator, BarbaraWalters, who said “I had this idea for a show.” Adding the series would feature “different women” each with “different points of view.” The broadcast journalist died in December 2022 at 93 years old.

The ad continued, "The View has welcomed your favorite guests and covered the issues you care about for nearly 30 years," the narrator said. "Now, the FCC wants to control who is allowed to appear on the show. Viewers, use your voice."

The View has been airing since August 1997 and is currently the long-running ABC talk show.

The daytime program used this ad to respond to threats from President DonaldTrump’s FCC.

In February, the FCC Chairman BrendanCarr revealed he was looking into “an enforcement action" against the series after an episode with JamesTalarico, a Democratic candidate for Senate in Texas. The View was under investigation for possibly breaking the agency’s "Equal Time Rule," which mandates broadcasters must allow commensurate airtime to opposing candidates, if requested.

Carr claimed that the Trump administration's FCC has "raised serious questions" about the talk show.

In January, the chairman took his complaints to X, writing that “legacy TV networks assumed that their late-night & daytime talk shows qualify as ‘bona fide news’ programs” and that these programs have an “obligation to provide all candidates with equal opportunities” 

The View is asking fans to support them during these threats by submitting an "express comment" via the QR code from their advertisement. It takes viewers to the FCC’s website with the specific case number automatically attached.

More than 50 years afterJaws first terrified moviegoers, one of Hollywood's most acclaimed filmmakers is still studying it.

Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh has launched an ambitious new project devoted entirely to Steven Spielberg's 1975 blockbuster, the movie he says inspired him to become a filmmaker. Called Production 02074, the interactive app combines production photos, shooting logs, analysis and behind-the-scenes details from the making of Jaws, offering fans an unusually detailed look at one of cinema's most influential productions.

The project is clearly a labor of love. In a new interview with Deadline, Soderbergh revealed that he saw Jaws 31 times in theaters as a teenager and has watched it countless times since. He released the app to coincide with the 51st anniversary of the film's original debut, which was June 20, 1975.

While Jaws, which the American Film Institute ranks among its Greatest Movies of All Time, is often remembered for its shark attacks and edge-of-your-seat suspense, Soderbergh believes the film's lasting power comes from something else entirely.

"Despite all of its bravura filmmaking technique, what makes the film resonate for people to this day is the character work," he told Deadline.

Soderbergh specifically praised scenes involving Chief Brody (Roy Scheider), Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and Quint (Robert Shaw), calling them master classes in storytelling and exposition. He also singled out the famous dinner-table scene between Brody and his young son as one of the film's most effective and heartfelt moments.

The filmmaker said working through Spielberg's production logs gave him an even greater appreciation for what the young director accomplished during the notoriously difficult shoot. Mechanical failures plagued the shark effects, weather caused delays, and there were periods when the production team wasn't sure the movie could even be completed.

"There were six weeks when they were very seriously wondering whether physically it was possible to do what they were trying to do," Soderbergh said.

Looking back, Soderbergh believes Spielberg's determination was the difference between a classic and a catastrophe.

"No one else would've had the vision and the tenacity to see it through," he said. "If you were dealing with any other filmmaker, I literally don't think they would've finished."

Released in 1975, Jaws became a cultural phenomenon and helped redefine the summer movie season. Alongside Star Wars two years later, it helped establish the modern blockbuster model that still dominates Hollywood today.

Yet Soderbergh's fascination with the film isn't really about its box-office success. Instead, he sees Jaws as an enduring lesson in storytelling, perseverance and filmmaking craft. After spending years building a project dedicated to understanding exactly how Spielberg made the movie, he appears more convinced than ever that its reputation is well deserved.

For many film fans, that's hardly surprising. More than half a century later, Jaws remains the rare blockbuster that still feels as thrilling, funny and suspenseful as the day it first arrived in theaters.

Twelve men entered the Villa to try their hands at finding love. However, host Ariana Madix explained that only 6 of these men would enter the Villa for the Casa Amor experience. So after spending time getting to know the girls, and playing games to try and make a connection, the girls were forced to make the decision of which of the twelve boys they would like to get to know farther, and it was at that point they made the decision to keep getting to know Corey Sawyer Jr, Trae Taylor, Gal Tshnieder, Ronnie Gunter, Dylan Wrona, and Carl Schmidt. With the other men being instantly dumped from the Island.

The next episode of Love Island USA will air on Tuesday at 9 PM ET, as the fallout from the dumping decision plays out.

In 1977, Queen released a song that would eventually become one of the most recognizable anthems ever recorded.

When "We Are the Champions" arrived as the lead track on News of the World, the Freddie Mercury-penned ballad quickly struck a chord with listeners. Released as a double A-side with "We Will Rock You," the song initially spent an impressive 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of the band's biggest international hits and laying the foundation for a legacy that continues nearly 50 years later.

"Our initial sense of it was that it was something very big-headed,” guitarist May told Guitar Player. "We all looked at Fred and said, 'Really?' But he had a very clear view of it. It was aimed at an audience that wanted to feel a togetherness and a power and an optimism. He knew people would sing it."

Mercury knew exactly what he wanted the song to become.

"We Are the Champions" combined an intimate piano ballad with a soaring, triumphant chorus designed to be sung by thousands of voices at once. Its message of perseverance and overcoming adversity quickly resonated far beyond the world of rock music.

"It's the most egotistical and arrogant song I've ever written!" Mercury said playfully in a 1977 interview. But ultimately, he revealed, the goal was to empower the audience. "Basically it's a participation thing."

It became exactly that.

Although the song was already a major hit, its reputation only grew over the following decades as it became a fixture at championship celebrations around the world. From the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics to the Super Bowl and countless professional sports leagues, "We Are the Champions" evolved into the soundtrack of victory, ensuring its place as one of the most-played songs in sporting history.

The song also became one of the defining moments of Queen's live performances. Whether performed during the band’s legendary concerts in the late 1970s and '80s or revisited by Brian May and Roger Taylor in later years, the anthem consistently united audiences in massive singalongs, reinforcing Mercury's original vision.

"We wanted to get the crowds waving and singing," May told uDiscover Music, reflecting on a 1977 performance of the song. "'We Are The Champions’ is very unifying and positive. People love it because it's so uplifting."

While Queen’s catalog includes countless classics, few songs have matched the universal appeal of "We Are the Champions." Its message has transcended generations, languages and cultures, making it as relevant today as it was when it first climbed the charts. In total, the track has spent 41 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 since its release, re-entering the charts years later.

"'We Are The Champions' is very triumphal," added May. "It fits the occasion, whatever the occasion might be. We always end our show with it because it's the best last song we know."

Nearly 50 years after its release, "We Are the Champions" remains far more than a hit single. What began as Freddie Mercury's celebration of resilience has become one of the most enduring power anthems in rock history and one that still brings people together every time its unforgettable chorus begins.

Not every pop star is lucky enough to score a major hit with a song from their debut album, but that was certainly the case for Laura Branigan, the singer behind the classic '80s hit "Gloria." The iconic tune, released as the second single from Branigan's 1982 album Branigan, didn't just peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It spent a total of 36 weeks on the chart, breaking the record at the time for a single by the solo act.

Not bad for a song that Branigan didn't want to sing in the first place.

Originally, "Gloria" was released by Italian artist Umberto Tozzi in 1979, when it was a hit in Europe (particularly Sweden and Spain). A few years later, Branigan's producer, Jack White, suggested she remake the song, according to American Songwriter. The only problem was that even after the lyrics were translated from Italian, Branigan wasn't a big fan of the song.

Thankfully for the many fans who've fallen in love with "Gloria" over the years, songwriter Trevor Veitch took another crack at the translated lyrics. Veitch's update, which tells the tale of a young woman whose life seems to be spinning out of control:

Gloria, you're always on the run now
Running after somebody
You gotta get him somehow
I think you've got to slow down
Before you start to blow it
I think you're headed for a breakdown
So be careful not to show it

The emotional track was the perfect fit for Branigan's expressive voice, so it's no surprise that "Gloria" made her a huge star and remained her signature tune for the rest of her career. In a 2002 interview with People, Branigan referred to "Gloria" as a "killer song," noting that even decades later, "I have to end every show with 'Gloria.' The whole room is just screaming."

While "Gloria" was Branigan's highest-charting single, it wasn't her only hit; "Self Control" and "Solitaire" also cracked the Top 10, while "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" and "The Lucky One" made it to the Top 20. Sadly, Branigan died suddenly at the age of 52 from an undiagnosed brain aneurysm in 2004, but her legacy lives on.

“I want to touch people’s hearts, to get right down to their souls,” Branigan once said, per AnOther Magazine. "When you’re on stage, the audience becomes your other half. It’s the ultimate high you can reach as a musician — an incredible feeling. And no matter where I am it’s still the same; there’s a reason we call music the universal language.”

Michelle and Johnny Damon are back aboard Below Deck Mediterranean, but their latest charter gets off to a rocky start before the yacht even leaves the dock. What begins as a tense reunion among friends quickly spirals into a full-blown feud, culminating in one guest demanding to leave the boat altogether.

Johnny and Michelle are no strangers to the franchise, but this return comes with far more drama than they bargained for. Long-simmering tensions between two members of their group threaten to derail the entire trip, leaving both the guests and crew scrambling to keep the peace.

As the guests boarded the yacht, one of Damon's friends, Josef, growled at Adis to "get the f—k away from me." Adis shot back, "Love that," while continuing to taunt him. The tension didn't ease once they got onboard. Josef continued complaining about Adis and later became agitated with the crew when Bosun Nathan Gallagher asked guests to move inside during departure.

Johnny attempted to calm Josef down, urging him to take things down a few notches, but the guest remained fixated on Adis. Later, Michelle admitted to Johnny and another friend that she was "afraid of what's happening downstairs" between the two. Meanwhile, Josef bragged about being rich and good-looking, despite Adis repeatedly telling him to "stay away" from her.

"But she can go f—k herself," Josef told the other guests.

Michelle later shed some light on the situation while speaking with Chief Stew Aesha Scott. According to Michelle, Adis had complained that Josef was being obnoxious at a restaurant before the group arrived on Akira One, explaining why tensions were already running high when they stepped aboard.

The conflict eventually reached a breaking point. Adis told deckhand Joe Bradley that she wanted off the yacht, prompting Captain Sandy Yawn to instruct the crew to get the anchor down so they could "get her off immediately." As the crew rushed to accommodate the request, Josef continued taunting Adis, repeatedly urging the crew to remove her from the boat as quickly as possible.

But as Adis departs the yacht via tender, Josef tells the other guests that he really liked her. Michelle isn't buying it.

"If you say I actually liked her one more time, I'm gonna throw you off the boat," she warns.

With Adis gone, you'd think Josef would finally settle down. Not exactly. After getting caught lying about how many cocktails he'd consumed before attempting to use a jet ski, he becomes irritated when the crew tells him he'll need to sit this activity out.

Instead of focusing on Adis, Josef turns his frustration toward the crew, prompting Chief Stew Aesha Scott to remind him to treat them with respect.

"I've never seen someone like this," Aesha says in a confessional before bringing Captain Sandy up to speed on Josef's behavior.

Captain Sandy ultimately pulls Josef aside for a conversation, and he finally appears to cool off. However, the captain's concerns don't end there. She's also worried about how Nathan handled the escalating situation after becoming visibly frustrated by the way Josef treated him.

Unfortunately, Josef continues with his insults, making inappropriate comments about the crew as they served him dinner. And at this point, Captain Sandy is over it.

And as the guests retreat to their rooms, Josef sits on the bow, drunk, talking on the phone to this lawyer. The charter is only starting, and Josef seems determined to get under Nathan's skin, who is in the bridge doing anchor watch. As Josef lays into Nathan, the bosun says in a confessional, "I'm about to get fired" because he's at his tipping point.
