Beloved '90s Rock Band Announces Limited-Edition Live Album
The Goo Goo Dolls are giving longtime fans something special to hold onto.
The beloved '90s rock band has announced a limited-edition live album capturing their acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk Concert, offering a rare physical release of one of their most intimate performances in recent years.
The new release features the band's stripped-down Tiny Desk set, which originally aired through NPR's popular concert series known for spotlighting artists in a raw, unplugged environment. The performance showcased the Goo Goo Dolls' enduring songwriting and emotional delivery, stripped of arena-scale production and centered squarely on melody and lyrics. The four song EP will includes "Slide," "Feel The Silence," "Not Goodbye (Close My Eyes," and, of course, fan-favorite, "Iris."
The album will be released as a limited-edition vinyl pressing, making it a highly collectible item for longtime listeners and vinyl enthusiasts alike. Tiny Desk performances are rarely given standalone physical releases, so this is a particularly noteworthy piece for collectors.
Originally formed in Buffalo, New York, the Goo Goo Dolls rose to prominence in the early 1990s before becoming global hitmakers later in the decade with songs like "Name," "Iris," and "Slide." While the band has continued to release new music and tour consistently, their Tiny Desk appearance offered fans a reminder of their roots and of the emotional intimacy that first connected them to audiences.

Katie Couric Sends Public Message to Barack Obama Following 'Disgusting' Donald Trump Post
Katie Couric is voicing her admiration for Barack Obama.
In the midst of backlash against Donald Trump for a blatantly racist video targeting the Obamas, Couric shared a message on Threads to commend the former president for his "class."
Obama—who has not directly responded to since-deleted Truth Social video—instead took a moment to send his best wishes to the athletes representing Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics, writing in part, "I'm so proud of you. Your talent and perseverance have brought you to this moment, and Michelle and I will be joining Americans from across the country cheering you on."
In response to Obama's post, Couric thanked the former POTUS for his "intelligence, kindness and class."
"So proud that you were our President," she wrote.
Couric, 69, didn't specifically mention the recent racist attack on the Obamas in her message, but she spoke out via Instagram earlier in the day on Friday, Feb. 6 to condemn Trump's Truth Social post
"This is so disgusting," she wrote on Instagram shortly after the post was removed from Trump's page following backlash from politicians across party lines.
View this post on InstagramDespite the post initially being defended by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as a simple "internet meme," the post was ultimately taken down.
The White House later claimed that an unnamed staffer had "erroneously made the post," according to ABC News, while Trump insisted that he would not apologize for sharing the offensive clip.
"No, I didn't make a mistake," he said while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday night. "I mean ... I look at a lot of, thousands of, things, and I looked at the beginning of it. It was fine."
He further insisted that the video was supposed to be a "take off The Lion King," and that he is the "least racist" president the U.S. has seen "in a long time."

One reporter also asked Trump, "At the very least, do you condemn the racist parts of the video?" to which the president replied, "Of course I do."

Costco Just Dropped a 'Super Warm' and Durable Workwear Staple Shoppers Are Racing to Grab Before It's Gone
When temperatures hover near freezing and the end of winter still feels just out of reach, having a few reliable layers on hand makes all the difference. Whether you spend a lot of time outdoors or just need something warm enough for everyday errands, the right insulation can mean staying comfortable all day instead of never quite shaking the chill.
Thankfully, brands like Carhartt have you covered with a wide range of winter-ready styles that keep you warm without sacrificing the signature look that Carhartt shoppers love. And right now, fans can snag the Carhartt Men’s Duck Insulated Jacket at Costco for just $99—a limited-time deal that seriously won’t last long.
View this post on InstagramSpotted in-store by @costcowonders, the Carhartt Men’s Duck Insulated Jacket is a perfect example of why the brand is widely trusted by fans. It’s not currently listed on Costco’s website, however, suggesting this is an in-warehouse exclusive that’s likely to sell out quickly. If you have a Costco trip planned this weekend, don’t wait—sizes typically range from Medium to XXL, and stock for releases like this tends to disappear fast.
That said, here’s what you can expect from one of Carhartt’s most popular workwear styles. The jacket starts with a heavyweight 12-ounce, 100 percent ring-spun washed cotton duck exterior, built to handle everyday wear and tear. Inside, a quilted nylon lining with 80g 100 percent polyester 3M Thinsulate featherless insulation provides warmth without extra bulk, while Carhartt’s signature triple-stitched main seams add the durability and attention to detail the brand is known for.
This stylish wardrobe staple also includes Cordura-reinforced sleeve hems to resist wear, a full-zip front with an attached hood and inner drawcord with cord lock, internal rib-knit storm cuffs to keep out the cold and elbow pleats for easier movement. These details are all complemented by plentiful storage, including two lined front pockets (one with a pen stall) and two inner pockets for carrying daily essentials.
Designed to deliver serious warmth in even the coldest conditions, this updated Carhartt style keeps you looking good for just about any occasion. But don’t be discouraged if it feels stiff at first, jackets like this need a few weeks of wear to break in and start feeling like they were made just for you. If you grab one, put it through the ringer with everyday wear, and let it slowly become that favorite piece you reach for again and again.
“These look so good!” one fan raved in response to the post shared by @costcowonders. “Love the brown one,” they added. “With the Costco hoodie, it looks on point,” another fan said.
“Can’t rock it unless you work with tools,” one fan joked, while a third chimed in: “These jackets are worth it, man. I crashed on my motorcycle and slid 10 feet, my Dickies pants were shredded but this jacket survived.”
Don’t sleep on this stylish Carhartt essential if your size is still available at your local store. With one of the brand’s highest warmth ratings, it’s perfect for brutal winter conditions. While you’re there, keep an eye out for Costco’s retro adidas sneakers or any leftover pairs of the highly sought-after Nike Dunk x Kirkland sneaker collab.
What is Bad Bunny’s Real Name? The Childhood Story Behind His Stage Name
As Bad Bunny gears up to take on one of the biggest stages in the world at the 2026 Super BowlHalftime Show, here's how he landed on the infamous stage name.
What started as a lighthearted nickname went on to become one of the most recognizable monikers in modern music
While the Latin artist previously gave insight into his alter ego during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the name also has roots in a childhood moment that's playful and symbolic.
Bad Bunny Name OriginThe global superstar, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, previously confessed during a 2023 appearance that he wanted to conceal his identity by wearing a mask before becoming famous.
“Like DJ Marshmello,” Cordon asked on Tuesday’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment, referencing the American electronic music producer known for hiding his face by wearing a white square helmet with a black smiley face. Marshmello is behind the hit songs “Wolves” with Selena Gomezand “Leave Before You Love Me” with Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.
“Yeah, something like that ’cause I never wanted to be so famous, but then I just went with the flow,” Bad Bunny explained.
The talk show host then pressed further, asking why he would want to cover “such a beautiful face” and how he got to the now-famous pen name.
The 31-year-old reggaeton star continued, explaining that he went with the stage name “Bad Bunny” because no matter how “bad” he acts, he knows he’s got the face of a cutie.
“That’s me! Because I’m a good guy. I’m cute,” Bad Bunny admitted jokingly.
Bad Bunny's Name Has a Connection to His ChildhoodThe Un Verano Sin Ti singer previously alluded that the moniker was a callback to his childhood, telling E! News that a bunny costume he was forced to wear as a child was part of its inspiration.
“Bad Bunny, that name comes from a picture when I was a kid. I think that I was six years old,” he told the outlet, adding, “I was so mad. That was Easter day in the school, and the teacher picked me to dress up.”
In a 2018 interview with ET, he expressed that it also had to do with a facial expression in a photo, stating, "When I was a little boy in school, I had to dress up as a bunny, and there's a picture of me with an annoyed face. And when I saw it, I thought I should name myself 'Bad Bunny.'".
"It's a name I knew would market well. A bunny is something so common that I thought to myself, every time someone sees one, they'll remember my music," he confessed further.
Most recently, during an August 2025 interview with TODAY'sWillie Geist, he addressed the now-iconic stage name, stating, "It fit perfect on me because I could be bad, I could be good."
And there's no denying it's the perfect juxtaposition that would later define his music and persona. While bunnies are often cute and soft, the addition of "bad" gives it an edge and a sense of rebellion, which is exactly Bad Bunny's approach to music—playful and vulnerable yet defiant. The artist has faced plenty of controversy, most recently for the Halftime Show, but refuses to be boxed in, challenging gender norms and cultural stereotypes, while pushing genre boundaries.
This Rising Number Isn’t ‘Normal’ Just Because You’re Aging, Cardiologists Warn
"Know your numbers" is standard advice for heart health. This common refrain is more than a catchphrase: It's designed to help people lower the risk of becoming one of the more than 900,000 individuals in the United States who die from cardiovascular disease every year, making it the number one killer in the nation.
"Numbers help us understand in a simple way the factors in our lives that we can address to improve our heart health," states Dr. Mohanakrishnan Sathyamoorthy, MD, the chair of internal medicine at Burnett School of Medicine at TCU.
For instance, you can sometimes improve your numbers with lifestyle tweaks, such as adding more fiber to your diet or clocking more minutes of exercise each week. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends prioritizing "Life's Essential 8," a checklist of steps you can take throughout your life to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease. The checklist includes items like eating nutritious food and exercising regularly. It also suggests managing critical numbers in blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. Dr. Sathyamoorthy does not recommend waiting for symptoms to arise before looking into your heart health.
"You can only know where things stand if you check your numbers, not to the point of overemphasis and fixation, but rather following a routine that your physician advises," he tells Parade.
Dr. Sathyamoorthy says you and your care team can track and trend your heart health so you can make changes to your treatment plan before you experience a major cardiac event, such as a heart attack. Cardiologists suggest taking the reins of your health and learning where you stand. Specifically, cardiologists warn people never to assume this rising number is normal as they age.

Cardiologists are urging people not to assume rising blood pressure is normal as they age, especially if at-home or office readings are consistently high and climbing.
"It’s critical not to dismiss rising blood pressure, especially as an older adult monitoring at home," shares Dr. Nadim Geloo, MD, a cardiologist and the senior director of medical affairs for Abbott’s structural heart division. "While arterial walls naturally stiffen with age, this doesn’t make high blood pressure normal."
You may feel fine, even as your blood pressure continues to rise. However, that does not mean that all is well with your heart.
"Blood pressure is often called the 'silent killer' because it can cause serious damage without noticeable symptoms," reveals Dr. Supreeti Behuria, MD, the co-director of preventative cardiology at Northwell’s Staten Island University Hospital. "When symptoms do occur, they may include headaches, shortness of breath or chest pain."
More often than not, you probably won't be able to tell if your blood pressure is rising without getting a reading through an at-home cuff or at your doctor's office.
“If you wait to feel high blood pressure, you’re often waiting until the damage is already done," says Dr. Ramy Doss, MD, a preventive cardiologist with Banner—University Medical Center. "It's like waiting for the smoke to come out of the window to say we have a fire."
Dr. Behuria warns that risks of chronically high and unmanaged blood pressure include:
- Heart attack: Chronic high blood pressure harms the arteries, increasing the odds of a blockage of blood flow to the heart. of a blockage of blood flow to the heart, Dr. Behuria says.
- Stroke: "Elevated blood pressure can weaken or narrow blood vessels in the brain, leading to ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke," Dr. Behuria explains.
- Heart failure: Over time, your heart will have to work harder against high pressure, which can weaken, thicken or enlarge it. Dr. Behuria reports that it can begin to pump less effectively, leading to heart failure.

What Counts as Healthy Blood Pressure?"'Normal' has been controversial in the literature and among professional societies that establish health guidelines," Dr. Sathyamoorthy states. "I have been very firm on my assessment over my career: 120/80."
The most recent guidance from the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Joint Committee, published in 2025, supports Dr. Sathyamoorthy's long-held belief, lowering normal blood pressure from 130/80 mm Hg to less than 120/80 mm Hg. In fact, 130/80 mm Hg is now classified as stage one hypertension. Here's a look at the latest AHA blood pressure guidelines in chart form:
Blood pressure category
Systolic
Diastolic
Normal
< 120 mm Hg
and < 80 mm Hg
Elevated
120–129 mm Hg
and < 80 mm Hg
Stage 1 hypertension
130–139 mm Hg
or 80–89 mm Hg
Stage 2 hypertension
≥ 140 mm Hg
or ≥ 90 mm Hg
Note: The top number in the reading is systolic blood pressure, and the bottom number is diastolic blood pressure.
Importantly, a one-off high blood pressure reading typically isn't cause for concern.
"Blood pressure naturally fluctuates throughout the day based on activity, stress and the body’s circadian rhythm," Dr. Geloo says. "Blood pressure becomes concerning when it is consistently elevated rather than occasionally fluctuating."
He suggests speaking with your doctor if your readings fluctuate unpredictably or are consistently elevated, or if you notice high blood pressure numbers along with symptoms like dizziness or chest pain.
"Readings of 180/120 mmHg or higher are considered a hypertensive crisis and require immediate medical attention," Dr. Geloo adds.

3 Ways To Manage Blood PressureYou can lower or maintain healthy blood pressure levels through lifestyle habits. Sometimes, you may benefit from medication. The cardiologists we spoke with suggest:
1. Follow a low-sodium dietThe American Heart Association suggests limiting sodium intake to 2,300 mg per day (ideally 1,500 mg). "Reducing salt intake helps lower blood pressure and protects the heart and blood vessels," Dr. Behuria says.
2. Exercise regularlyTry to follow the American Heart Association's guidance for weekly physical activity, which includes 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity. Plus, don't forget to add two resistance-training sessions per week. "Physical activity strengthens the heart, improves circulation and helps maintain a healthy weight," Dr. Behuria explains.
3. See your doctorIf you're concerned about your blood pressure, talk to your doctor. They may be able to recommend more lifestyle tweaks or medication. "Don’t keep worrying alone, bring your numbers to a professional and make a plan," Dr. Doss states.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy: Camera Found on Roof After Neighbor Spotted Key Detail That Prompted Police Search
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie's neighbor spotted a key detail in aerial footage that prompted police to search the 84-year-old's roof—where they found new evidence, a camera, as Nancy remains missing.
On Friday, Feb. 6, police reportedly seized a vehicle from Nancy's Tucson, Ariz., property, Fox News reported, as well as a camera from the roof, per the New York Post.
Nancy's neighbor, Laura Gargano, told CNN that she notified police to check to see if Savannah's mom had her roof recoated, as it could lead to tips. Gargano said she noticed how clean Nancy's roof looked in aerial footage of the home.
"You see in that image, you see how white her roof is," the neighbor told CNN. "The previous three weeks we had a lot of rain, so it would be normal for a roof to a be little dirty after it rains."
Because Garno's roof is flat, like Nancy's, it easily gets dirty. So the pristine condition of Nancy's roof seemed off. "That's just one thing to check," she said.

Beloved Crooner Paul Anka, 84, Shared Why He’s Single and Loving It
At 84, Paul Anka won't be settling down anytime soon.
The beloved singer, known for tunes like “You Are My Destiny,” “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” and “(You’re) Having My Baby,” told PEOPLE in a revealing new interview that his three past marriages, all of which ended in divorce, were enough for him.
“I’ve done the married thing. I’ll take all the good from it, some of the bad,” he shared. “I love my solitude, and it’s an amazing place to be in, having peace of mind and growing older gracefully.”
Anka went on to say that he would "never get married again. Why? Done it. Got great kids, got nine grandchildren, got a son I’m raising,” he noted. “I’m so happy with what I’m doing. I couldn’t handle the change after you get married. People change. If I’ve got any wisdom at all, I don’t want to do that to myself.”
His grueling touring schedule, which often kept him away from home for 200 days a year, was particularly taxing on his relationships. At 84, he's still going strong and has no plans to retire.
Paul Anka is Jason Bateman’s Father-in-LawOne lesser-known fact about Anka is that he’s the father-in-law of beloved Hollywood actor and director Jason Bateman. Bateman, who rose to stardom as a child actor on shows like Little House on the Prairie and Silver Spoons, found tremendous success as an adult on Arrested Development. He then went on to become a powerhouse director with projects like Ozark and Black Rabbit. But he’s also the husband of Amanda Anka, who is the daughter of Paul. Paul’s a big fan of his son-in-law, tellingET Canada in 2011 that Bateman is “a very smart boy, a wonderful guy for my daughter.”
He Never Gets Tired of PerformingWhile Anka’s been in the music business since he was a teenager, he never gets sick of performing his hits. In a 2015 interview with Business Jet Traveler, he revealed that he hadn’t yet tired of the performing life.
“I don’t get rid of songs because I am sick of singing them or I am older. All over the world, these songs mean something special to my audiences. I have to respect the audience. I don’t retire a song but I often change the arrangement to keep it fresh. But when a crowd is applauding, yelling, and singing the lyrics, you can’t help getting right into it.”
After years in the business, Anka has also found great success financially, running various businesses. But he also understands how important it is to surround yourself with people who build you up, rather than tear you down.
“Admit your limitations and surround yourself with smart people. You don’t want to be the smartest guy in the room all the time,” he shared.

Blonde Beauty Nancy Cartwright, 68, the Voice of Bart Simpson, Celebrates the Show’s 800th Episode
He may be one of the most famous ten-year-old boys in the world, but Bart Simpson is actually voiced by 68-year-old Nancy Cartwright.
Cartwright first auditioned for the role of Bart in 1987 for a series of animated shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. That was spun off into The Simpsons, which premiered on Fox in 1989 and went on to become a comedy and pop culture touchstone. Since then, Cartwright has voiced the beloved character, but has largely stayed under the radar in the press. But 800 episodes later, Cartwright is flying high, and the voice actor hit the red carpet to attend a celebration this week of the show's 800th episode, "Irrational Treasure," at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California. With her blonde hair and bright smile, she certainly isn't who you'd expect as the voice of a pre-teen boy, but she's an absolute legend in the comedy world.

Cartwright Has a New PodcastCartwright has a new podcast, Simpsons Declassified with Nancy Cartwright. The queen of the series shares that each week, she'll take listeners behind the scenes of the 800 episodes, cracking open "the wild predictions, mind-bending coincidences, fan conspiracies, and untold stories" from the show's 35-year run. Here's a recent clip where Cartwright discusses how the show is made with showrunner David Mirkin.
Sabrina Carpenter is Her NieceFame runs in the family because it turns out that Cartwright is actually the aunt of pop icon Sabrina Carpenter.
“She's not a blood relative,” Nancy shared on the Jan. 2 episode of Toon’d In with Jim Cummings, E! reported. “Her grandmother was married to my dad, so her dad was my stepbrother.”
“I met her when she was 8,” Cartwright. continued. “Her folks brought the three girls out to my house, and they stayed with us because her dream was to do everything Disney. She wanted a Disney contract, and she said, ‘I want to do that’ since she was 6 years old.”
Nancy went on to say that Sabrina and the family “would come out every year and stay with me. They lived with me for four months at a time during pilot season and helped her get management and an agent.”

Season 4 shows Hyacinth slightly older and spending time with Eloise (Claudia Jessie). Eloise's season will be next, and then the series will return to Francesca (Hannah Dodd). The younger Bridgertons will then take their turn in the spotlight. "It takes a few years to film, so by the time we get to Hyacinth and Gregory, the actors are going to be well into their 20s," the author explained to Us Weekly.
Quinn, 56, also mentioned how much the actors have grown. "It’s funny because they were, like, 12 and 13 when they started. If you asked me that back then [about the same actors playing them as adults], I’d be like, ‘I don’t know.’ But when I saw them again at the premiere, they were both drinking wine," Quinn said. "They’re both 18 now and Will was there with his girlfriend."
The author noted that Gregory will have a very different perspective on falling in love after watching his older siblings do it. Tilson will play "desperate" for love. The actor hasn't taken any roles outside of Bridgerton. Eloise chaperoned Hyacinth during her finishing lessons in season 4. Hyacinth is excited to spend time with her older sister, but Eloise isn't interested in any of her interests.
Bridgerton season 4 part 2 will be available on Netflix starting February 26, continuing Benedict Bridgerton's (Luke Thompson) story.
1971 Hit Has Been Ranked ‘the Best Rock Song’ of All Time
Unlike many songs released over five decades ago,Led Zeppelin's 1971 hit "Stairway to Heaven" has managed to remain culturally relevant.
The song, which is off the band's untitled fourth record, has been ranked as the number one "best rock song of all time" by Shortlist. The list, updated in January 2026, also highlighted several other notable rock tunes, such as Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," released in 1975, Jimi Hendrix's 1967 "Purple Haze," Metallica's 1991 "Enter Sandman," and AC/DC's 1980 hit "Back in Black."
The publication explained that the number one spot went to "Stairway to Heaven" because of the song's strong lyricism, as well as the swell and intensity of the guitar.

Jimmy Page Shared How the 1971 Song Came to Be in a 2014 InterviewIn an October 2014 interview with BBCNews, Led Zeppelin's guitarist, Jimmy Page, explained how the band's arguably most iconic song came to be. He said he had "wanted to try to put something together which started with quite a fragile exposed acoustic guitar." In addition, he said the use of recorders in "the early part" of the song gave the tune a "slightly medieval feel."
Page also said that "the idea of 'Stairway' was to have a piece of music, a composition, whereby it would just keep unfolding into more layers and more moods." The musician also said that the song was composed to "actually accelerate as it went through on every level, every emotional level, every musical level."

"So it just keeps opening up as it continues through its sort of passage," said Page during the BBCNews interview.
Page also remarked upon the song's lasting popularity. He said he believed "Stairway to Heaven" has remained so beloved because the band, which consisted of Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham, had recorded the song with authenticity.
"I think the lasting quality of this music over all these years is the fact that everyone's playing so honestly and with such conviction," said Page in the interview.

UFC Champ Alex Pereira Sparks Dating Rumors With Dutch Model Vera Dijkmans — Weeks After Tracy Cortez Split
Alex "Poatan" Pereira is a two-division UFC champion, a former kickboxing world titleholder, and the reigning king of the light heavyweight division. He’s also fresh off the heels of a whirlwind relationship with fellow MMA star Tracy Cortez. But heartbreak doesn’t appear to have slowed him down. In fact, some fans believe the 38-year-old combat sports star may have already moved on — this time with Dutch model Vera Dijkmans.
On Monday, February 2, Dijkmans, 29, dropped a TikTok featuring the two together. In the video, Pereira positions the influencer in front of the camera before sneaking a cheeky peek at Dijkmans from behind. She catches on quickly, cracks up, and the two share what appears to be a flirty moment.
@itsveradijkmans😭😭😭
♬ original sound - cxlloutThis wasn’t their first run-in together, either.
On January 23, Dijkmans posted a video on Instagram of the pair throwing hands in the ring. Pereira blocked as Dijkmans fired off punches and kicks before the champ hit her with a takedown, sweeping her to the mat in classic MMA fashion. Just before the clip ends, the two squared up in a dead-serious stare-down as if it were a real matchup — but Dijkmans couldn’t hold the serious pose for long and started laughing.
View this post on InstagramThat sparring clip is what kicked off the rumor mill, and reactions came fast — with many dragging Pereira's ex into the conversation.
"The real reason why he left Tracy Cortez lol," one person wrote.
"[I know] Cortez punching the air [right now]," another added.
"Imagine the kids they could have! 😮," chimed in a third.
"We see why he left the last one. Good choice 👏👏👏👏," someone else wrote.
"MASSIVE upgrade from Tracey Cortez 👸🏼👸🏼👑," said another.
Pereira and Cortez, 32, first went public around New Year’s, sharing affectionate posts and appearing together in videos that quickly made the rounds online. But less than two weeks later, the relationship was over. Pereira confirmed the split in a message on his Instagram Stories, saying the two had “decided it would be better” to go their “separate ways.” Neither has spoken in detail about what led to the breakup, and there was no public drama — just a fast start and an equally fast ending that surprised many fans who had been rooting for them.
Alex Pereira and Tracy Cortez have broken up after a week pic.twitter.com/MgYQGJQybW
— Happy Punch (@HappyPunch) January 9, 2026As for Pereira and Dijkmans, there’s no confirmation that the two are dating. For now, what exists is a string of videos, some playful chemistry on camera, and a lot of speculation from viewers connecting the dots.
What’s also unclear is what’s next for Pereira inside the cage. There’s been chatter about a possible UFC event at the White House in June, with several high-profile fighters — Pereira included — expressing interest, though no matchups have been announced. Pereira himself even cast some doubt on appearing at the event, posting on Instagram in December that fighting on that card was a “NO GO,” leaving his next bout very much up in the air.
View this post on InstagramDijkmans, meanwhile, is no stranger to the fight world spotlight. Over the past month, she’s appeared in clips with several well-known figures, including former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who posted videos of the two training and joking around together on social media.

Vonn stunned fans by revealing she would still be competing in the games after tearing her ACL in a final World Cup downhill crash. "It feels stable. I feel strong. My knee is not swollen. And with the help of a knee brace, I am confident that I can compete on Sunday [in the downhill race]," Vonn told reporters, per NPR.

Following the news that she would compete after all, Vonn's friend Reese Witherspoonposted a photo of Vonn with the caption, "I believe in you." Vonn responded, "The best friends and support I could ever ask for."
Vonn's first official training on the Olympa delle Tofane course was cancelled due to snow, but in the second, she came in 11th, and in the third, which took place on Feb. 7, she came in third behind American Breezy Johnson at No. 1 and Germany's Kira Weidle-Winkelmann at No. 2.
Vonn is hoping to win her first gold medal since the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, where she took home a gold in downhill and a bronze in super-g. At the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, she snagged a bronze in downhill.

Vonn is famous for competing in alpine downhill, super-g, and team combined. According to the Olympics website description, downhill is known for its "long courses that take more than a minute and a half to complete," and has larger distances between gates. It's known to have "the fastest speeds in alpine skiing."
Super-g, also called super-giant slalom, is the second fastest event for alpine skiing, and one of the newest events added to the lineup. In it, skiers follow a course lined with poles, and they have to hit every one or they'll be disqualified. "Super-giant slalom has much wider turns and is therefore skied at higher speeds," says the site.
The combined team event "sees two athletes representing the same country race in one discipline each (downhill and slalom). The final ranking is determined by adding the times from both races," explains the Olympics site.

Ina Garten’s Next-Level Shrimp Cocktail Is the Super Bowl Snack You Didn’t Know You Needed
I’ll always have a soft spot for classic Super Bowl snacks like buffalo wings, chili, nachos and pigs in blankets, but I’m also never opposed to mixing things up when the mood (or the menu) calls for it. While I was nosing around Instagram for a little fresh game-day inspiration, I ran across an old Instagram post from Ina Garten where she suggested serving Roasted Shrimp Cocktail Louis.
"Instead of the usual chips and dip for your Super Bowl party, how about serving Roasted Shrimp Cocktail Louis?" she said in the caption. "It’s over-the-top delicious, and so easy to make for a crowd." Sold!
Her caption was convincing, but it was the photo that stopped me mid-scroll. The dish looked bright, elegant and surprisingly unfussy, yet still completely appropriate for a sports-watching crowd. It felt like the perfect way to add something fresh to the table without straying too far from the familiar flavors we all love to eat while watching the game.
What really pulled me in was how unfussy it all seemed. Instead of hauling out a big pot of boiling water to poach shrimp, Ina roasts them on a sheet pan with olive oil, salt and pepper, then serves them with a bold, creamy Louis sauce for dipping. Once I connected the dots, that this recipe comes from Ina's iconic book, Cook Like a Pro, I knew it was going to be a home run. It perfectly captures her whole philosophy: simple techniques, smart shortcuts and dishes that feel elevated without being intimidating.
I loved that this recipe feels familiar but still different. You still get the classic shrimp cocktail vibe, but the oven-poached shrimp add simplicity and flavor, while the Louis sauce brings a creamy complexity to the standard cocktail sauce. It’s the kind of dish that feels special enough for guests but easy enough that you’re not stuck in the kitchen missing the game.
In other words, it felt like the perfect Super Bowl experiment: something new, a little fancy but still completely crowd-friendly. I was excited to give it a try!

Shrimp Cocktail Louis is Ina Garten’s spin on the classic Shrimp Louis (or Crab Louis) salad. The origins of the dish are widely debated, depending on who you ask and which part of the West Coast they’re loyal to, but most food historians agree that versions of the salad began appearing on menus at upscale West Coast restaurants between the turn of the 20th century and World War I.
Ina’s version skips the lettuce and formal plating and turns the dish into a bold, dippable, crowd-friendly snack, making it especially well-suited for parties and game-day spreads. Fans were quick to share their enthusiasm in the comments.
"My family loved this. Thank you so much. So easy!!” said one person. "This is the only way I make shrimp cocktail since the first time I saw you do it this way YEARS ago! Everyone always comments on how delicious it is!" added another. All of the fan excitement got me hyped to try it out on my friends.

Louis sauce is a creamy, tangy dressing that lives somewhere between classic cocktail sauce and a dressed-up Thousand Island dressing. It usually starts with mayonnaise and chili sauce, then gets brightness from lemon, heat from horseradish and depth from Worcestershire. Ina’s version adds sriracha, scallions and capers, which gives it extra brininess, punch and texture. It’s rich but balanced, and once you taste it, you immediately start thinking of other ways to use it.

Ingredients Needed for Ina Garten's Shrimp Cocktail LouisCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
This recipe keeps things refreshingly simple. You’ll need two pounds of large peeled, deveined shrimp with the tails on, along with good olive oil, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. The Louis sauce is made with mayonnaise, Heinz chili sauce, lemon zest and juice, bottled grated white horseradish, Sriracha, Worcestershire sauce, minced scallions and drained capers. Chances are, you already have most of these ingredients on hand.

Start by preheating the oven to 400°F. Dry the shrimp well with paper towels, then place them on a sheet pan with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Toss the shrimp to coat in the oil and spread them out in a single layer. Roast for 10 minutes, until the shrimp are firm and just cooked through, then set them aside to cool.

While the shrimp cool, whisk together the mayonnaise, chili sauce, lemon zest, lemon juice, horseradish, Sriracha, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Stir in the scallions and capers. Arrange the shrimp on a platter with the Louis sauce for dipping, and offer a separate bowl for the discarded shrimp tails.

Ina's Shrimp Cocktail Louis: My Honest ThoughtsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
I’m not sure I’ll ever boil shrimp for shrimp cocktail again. Ina's method was brilliant. Even after drying the shrimp with paper towels, they still hold enough moisture that 10 minutes in the oven creates the perfect, tender texture. It’s such a clean, easy method.
The Louis sauce was delicious and a fun, unexpected twist. You definitely get that familiar shrimp cocktail vibe from the chili sauce and horseradish, but the added ingredients make it feel more layered and exciting than standard cocktail sauce.
This dish is a welcome change from all the heavy party apps, and it's a surprisingly cozy dish to eat in the winter while watching a football game. I put this out for four adults, and we nearly polished off the full two pounds. I’ll absolutely be making it again on Super Bowl Sunday. I also loved that I had almost everything I needed already in my fridge and pantry.
Overall, this is a 10/10 recipe for me. It’s resourceful, simple and feels both classic and fresh at the same time.

3 Tips for Making Ina's Shrimp Cocktail Louis1. Double the sauceNext time, I’d double the Louis sauce and keep it in the fridge for salads throughout the week—it’s that good!
2. Make some swapsIf you don’t have chili sauce on hand, I’d confidently swap in ketchup in a pinch. I had to buy chili sauce just for this recipe, and while it’s traditional, ketchup would absolutely work too.
3. Get aheadBecause the shrimp need to cool after roasting, you can easily cook the shrimp and make the dip the night before, so all you have to do it plate the dish when guests arrive.

Who Is Annie Guthrie? Everything We Know About Savannah Guthrie's Sister Amid Mom's Disappearance
Savannah Guthrie and her family are facing the unimaginable: The TODAY show anchor's 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie disappeared in the middle of the night from her Tucson, Arizona home in the early hours of Feb. 1, 2026. Authorities are working around the clock to locate the beloved mom, investigating both a possible kidnapping and the alleged ransom notes demanding payment for her release.
In a tearful video posted to social media on Wednesday, Feb. 4, the 54-year-old television personality and her two older siblings—Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie—sat down before cameras to address their mother's alleged abductors. In the clip, big sister Annie says: “The light is missing from our lives. Nancy is our mother. We are her children. She is our beacon. She holds fast to joy in all of life’s circumstances. She chooses joy day after day.“
“Despite having already passed through great trials of pain and grief, we are always going to be merely human, just normal human people who need our mom,“ Savannah's sibling added, before addressing the Guthrie matriarch directly. “Mama, mama, if you’re listening. We need you to come home. We miss you.“
Given that recent unconfirmed reports have brought into question whether Annie Guthrie's husband Tommaso Cioni was somehow involved with Nancy's disappearance—with true-crime podcaster Ashleigh Banfield claiming that a high-level law enforcement source told her Cioni is a “prime suspect”—the couple has now been thrust into the spotlight. We know each other’s thoughts and ways. We know each other’s sadness and weakness. We know each other’s tickle spots and pain points.”
“Sometimes, the way we have found each other in the hard times is God, the sixth member of our family, as my sister so memorably put it," Guthrie continued. "I know when she is praying for me, and I believe she knows when I am praying for her, too.”

Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni Hire Security Amid Nancy Guthrie's Disappearance: Report
As we enter day seven of the search for Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie, some new information is coming from reporters who are on the ground in Arizona.
Some media personnel have camped out near Nancy's home in the Catalina Foothills, though many were pushed back on Friday, Feb. 6 as authorities cleared the street for "investigative purposes." Some others have been keeping a close eye on Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni's home about four miles down the road.
On Saturday, Feb. 7, investigative reporter Jonathan Lee Riches, said that there was a security guard outside of Annie and Tommaso's home.

"Annie & Tommaso's private security guy just came over to my vehicle & knocked on my window to ask me who I'm with. Told him JLR INVESTIGATES, of course. Told him to check out my continuous Nancy Guthrie coverage on YouTube, Riches wrote on X. "He said he is just trying to get familiarized with what media is out here. Nice guy. Kinda big. He is parked in front of the house making sure no one goes onto the property. Hired by the family."
Riches also said that there wasn't any police activity at the home this morning, though media and paparazzi were present. When someone asked Riches if Annie and her husband were inside the home, he replied, "Media people here told me someone is inside, but not sure who."
Meanwhile, there was police activity at the home on Friday, Feb. 6, according to NewsNation's Brian Entin who has been following the case with boots on the ground.
"3 deputies just arrived at Annie Guthrie’s house," he wrote on X. About a half hour later the deputies left without even having gone inside.
