Dave Hinson won a four-way race for Franklin County Second District Commissioner and Ben Hotz squeaked by in the race for municipal judge on the Repubican ticket.
Crawford County voters retained two incumbents Tuesday night, chose Darren Dake in the race for coroner and rejected Medicaid expansion.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office found a decomposing body in a field near Gerald on Thursday.
UPDATE: The Independent News was informed that a note was sent to parents on Friday, July 31 informing them that an employee tested positive and had no contact with students since July 24.
Update: The sheriff's department has identified the suspect as Jared Kline, 28. He is not from the area.
There has been no arrest as of 10:30 a.m.
