Body Found In Franklin County Field

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office found a decomposing body in a field near Gerald on Thursday.

Sheriff Steven Pelton said Monday the body was identified as Jacob Spaunhorst, 27, Gerald. 

Pelton said there was nothing suspicious located to indicate a cause of death.

The investigation remains active.

Spaunhorst’s body was found in a field in the 700 block of DaniMac Lane off County Line Road in Gerald.

A vehicle was found stuck in the field and Spaunhorst’s body was lying a short distance away.
