Eureka used a seven-run third inning Saturday to power their way past Sullivan and claim a lengthy and exhausting Peoples Bank Back To School Classic with an 8-0 victory.
With a 10-0 win on Saturday against Osage, Sullivan advanced to the finals of the Peoples Bank Back To School Classic for the first time.
Sullivan hit three home runs Saturday in the first round of the Peoples Bank Back To School Classic against Eldon, picking up a 16-3 win over the Mustangs.
The opportunities were there for Sullivan on Friday to pull off a Week 1 upset against Hillsboro.
The third annual Peoples Bank Back To School Softball Classic is scheduled for Friday and Saturday featuring 16 teams competing in four pools.
