Sullivan’s track and field team was edged out Tuesday at the Owensville Quad, with the host Dutchmen coming out on top.
The boys won seven events to Owensville’s eight.
Sullivan erupted for nine runs in the fourth inning Tuesday and blasted St. Clair 12-1 in a Four Rivers Conference game.
Austin Frye delivered the go-ahead run with a one-out double on Monday to give Sullivan a 6-4 victory against St. James.
Sullivan pushed three runs across in the home half of the fourth inning Wednesday and it gave them the margin they needed to send Steelville home early.
Three boys won five events Tuesday at the Borgia Invitational, helping Sullivan to a second place finish in the five-team event.
