Jacob Brooks and JD McReynolds combined for six of Sullivan’s 11 hits, McReynolds fired 4-1/3 shutout innings and the Eagles coasted to an 8-3 victory over Hermann in their season opener Tuesday.
Washington began and ended Wednesday’s game at Sullivan with three-run innings, rolling to a 7-1 victory in the Four Rivers Classic.
Sullivan suffered a pair of defeats to close out the Four Rivers Classic on Saturday, losing 12-6 to Sikeston and 12-0 to Pacific.
The Eagles (1-3) had to settle for eighth place.
Sullivan’s boys track and field team took third place on Friday at the Blair Oaks Invitational.
The Eagles totaled 15 medals, including four first place finishes.
Sullivan’s girls track and field team earned seven medals on Friday at the Blair Oaks Invitational.
