Wrestling Eagles Sweep Owensville, Potosi

Sullivan’s wrestling team ended the regular season Thursday with a sweep over Owensville and Potosi.

The Eagles defeated Owensville 53-25 and Potosi 66-17.

Up next is the district tournament Friday and Saturday at Ste. Genevieve.

Against Owensville, Ransom Dudley (132) won by technical fall over Tighe Bombach. Kobie Blankenship (138) pinned Boston Belk in 36 seconds. Ian Kilburn (152) pinned Blaine Schoenfeld in 3 minutes, 38 seconds. Evan Shetley (170) pinned Caleb Gray in 2 minutes, 48 seconds. Trey Eplin (182) pinned Cody Linders in 5 minutes, 35 seconds. Tristan Brown (285) pinned Bryce Mistler in 2 minutes, 37 seconds.

Dillon Witt (106), Luke Dixon (113) and Ethan Hines (120) won by forfeit.

Dustin Jahnsen won a 16-5 decision against Isaac Peregoy (145). Tanner Rector had a 9-6 decision against Alec McCormick (160). Colton Moore pinned Luke Landwehr (195). Joe Bauer pinned Wyatt Medlock (220).

In exhibition action, Ross Farris (152) had a 4-0 decision over Edward Delong. Devyn Harmon (160) pinned Owen Holtzer in 1 minute, 6 seconds.

Potosi

Witt pinned Hayden Gasten in 3 minutes, 44 seconds. Dudley pinned Jordan Shaw in 33 seconds. Blankenship pinned Andrew Coleman in 3 minutes, 36 seconds. Kilburn pinned Jaydee Vick in 1 minute, 51 seconds. McCormick pinned Thomas Gamble in 2 minutes, 33 seconds. Brown pinned Lonnie Clapp in 1 minute, 49 seconds.

Dixon, Hines, Peregoy, Shetley and Eplin had forfeit victories.

Ben Turnbough won by technical fall against Landwehr. Kaleb Evans pinned Medlock.
