Wiese, Farrell Shot Eagles Past Potosi
Sullivan got a much-needed win Tuesday when they blew out Potosi 66-48.
Josh Wiese’s six 3-pointers and 18 points helped lead the attack. Owen Farrell scored 19 points and dropped three 3-pointers.
Dillon Farrell added nine points and Dallas Blankenship had eight for the Eagles, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Jordan Woodock had seven points, Jacob Hatcher had three and both Austin Orick and Noah Stegeman had two.
Wiese tallied a season-high 19 points and five 3-pointers in a loss to St. James on January 24.
He went off for three 3’s in the first quarter as part of an early explosion by the Eagles offense.
Sullivan led 23-10 early after Owen Farrell finished with a scoop at the basket, but Potosi charged back with a 7-2 run in the final two minutes.

Sullivan responded with a 9-1 run. Owen Farrell kicked out to Wiese for a 3 with 4:32. Hatcher had a steal and was fouled on a fast break, converting one of two free throws. Owen Farrell dropped in a put-back and knocked down a 3 with 2:10 left.
(21) led would bring Potosi back within single digits in the final two minutes, first scoring inside and then swishing a 3 at the buzzer. Sullivan led 36-29 at the half.
Owen Farrell and Wiese gave the Eagles two quick buckets to start the third quarter, the latter coming on a 3-pointer.
Sullivan used a 7-0 run to take a 48-31 lead with 4:27 remaining. They would go scoreless until Blankenship’s put-back at the 47-second mark. Stegeman’s put-back at the buzzer gave the Eagles a 52-34 lead.
