Three Earn Medals At Owensville Invitational

Emily Willman and Madison Douthit brought home medals for the girls and Isiah Huskey a medal for the boys on Tuesday at the Owensville Invitational.

Fourteen schools participated in the event.

Willman took eighth place in a field of 86 and had a time of 21:04.80 for the Lady Eagles.

Douthit took 23rd and finished in 22:55.57. 

Huskey finished fourth in 17:33.83.

As a team, the Lady Eagles were seventh with 144 points. The boys also took seventh and had 176 points.

Girls

Loren Halmick was 26th and finished in 23:11. Adia Halmick came in at 25:52.07. 

Kayleigh Willman had a time of 26:31.22. Maddie Joslin finished in 28:30.24. Summer Redd’s time was 29:56.39 and Gwen Chambers came in at 31:53.24.

Owensville won the team championship with 42 points, edging Fatima’s 46 points.

Hermann came in third with 103 points. Pacific had 106 points for fourth. Union took fifth with 111 points. New Haven followed with 135 points and Lighthouse Prep Academy came in eighth with 241 points.

Owensville’s Sophie Ashner finished first in 20:34.62. Union’s Ella Coppinger had a second place finish. Owensville’s Kendra Fults, Fatima’s Kendall Haller and Owensville’s Mekayla Gibson rounded out the top five.

Fatima’s Alexis Fischer, Union’s Anna Brakefield, Willman, Fatima’s Kailey Woody and Hermann’s Morgan Miller were sixth through 10th.

Boys

Jonathan Krygiel finished in 22nd for the Eagles, crossing the finish line at 19:25.17.

Chase Walker finished 40th in 20:27.33

Walker Hardy had a time of 23:11.51. Zachery McKellips’ time was 27:28.26.

Fatima was dominant and won the team championship with 47 points.

Hermann came in second with 80 points and was followed by Owensville with 81 points.

Pacific had 101 points and finished fourth. Union took fifth with 113 points.

New Haven was sixth with 119 points. St. James followed Sullivan with 213 points to finish 213 points. Capital City had 250 points and took ninth. Lighthouse had 254 points and finished 10th.

Hermann’s Dalton Gleeson finished first in 17:07.05. Fatima’s Dawson Woehr was second and Hermann’s Carter Hemeyer was third. 

Union’s Dominic Beine took fifth. Owensville’s Austin Terry was sixth, Fatima’s Caden Haslag seventh, Union’s Gabriel Hoekel eighth, New Haven’s Austin Tegeler ninth and Owensville’s Bam Wizeman 10th.
