Sullivan Teams Finish Second At Steelville Invitational
Sullivan’s boys and girls cross country teams took second place Thursday at the Steelville Invitational.
The boys had 41 points, finishing runner-up to Steelville with 26. St. Clair was third, Cuba fourth, St. James fifth and Salem sixth.
Carter Adams led Sullivan with a second-place finish.
Isiah Huskey took fifth, Ethan Light sixth, Jonathan Krygiel 21st, John Thomas 24th and Samuel Walker 45th.
Adams had a time of 17:50.16. Steelville’s Ty Merseal came in at 17:33.61.
Huskey ran in 18:15.41. Light came in at 18:24.15. Krygiel had a time of 19:20.62. Thomas checked in at 19:55.57 and Walker 22:19.30.
Girls
The girls had 44 points and finished behind St. Clair, which scored 33.
Maggie Jones led the way for Sullivan by finishing eighth. She had a time of 23:33.55. Vittoria Polanowski was ninth in 23:38.86. Loren Halmick took 10th and came in at 23:42.62. Madison Douthit finished 11th with a time of 23:48.86.
Kayleigh Willman came in 17th and had a time of 24:25.91. Porscha Polanowski was 18th with a time of 24:32.19. Adia Halmick came in 28th and her time was 26:24.67. Maddy Brauninger was 36th. She finished in 28:37.56.
Emma Campbell took 41st. Brianna Bullock finished 44th. Summer Reed was 45th. Juliannna Graddy, Jillian Davis and Zoey Patterson took 52nd through 54th respectively.
