Sullivan Sweeps Rhineland In Doubleheader

Sullivan 18U swept Rhineland in a doublehader June 8, winning 3-1 and 2-1.

That gave the former Post 18 four straight wins after racking up a pair of victories in the previous week against Eureka and Warrenton.

Game 1

Sullivan scored three runs in the fourth inning to pick up a 3-1 victory.

Josh Wiese started for the former Post 18.

Sullivan had four hits.

Sam Turilli doubled, while Cooper Beckett, Tyler Hopen and Cy Cpae singled.

Alex Branson walked.

Chase McKague took the ball for Rhineland and helped himself out with a single and a run in the first.

Game 2

Sullivan had six hits. 

Carey doubled, while Turilli, Bryan Payne, Blayten Nolie and Lane Blankenship picked up singles.
