Sullivan Sweeps Owensville, Potosi In Tri-Meet

Sullivan punctuated the end of the regular season Monday with dominant wins over Owensville and Potosi in a tri-meet.

The Eagles bested their Four Rivers Conference foe Owensville 55-22 and mauled Potosi 67-12.

Nine Sullivan grapplers won matches in both duals.

John Johnson (106) won by major decision over Owensville’s David Vincent and picked up a forfeit against Potosi.

Joseph Lewis (120) won a 7-5 decision against Owensville’s Dezmyn Moore and a 10-0 major decision against Potosi’s Austyn Edmiston. 

Ty Shetley (126) pinned Potosi’s Kladen Smith and won by forfeit against Owensville.

Jonathan Krygiel (138) pinned Potosi’s Jordan Shaw in 3:05. He won by forfeit against Owensville.

Kobie Blankenship (152) pinned Owensville’s Alan Kopp in 1:29 and won a sudden victory against Potosi’s Austin Harris.

Isaac Peregoy (160) won by fall over Owensville’s Zachary Adams in 1:14 and Potosi’s Levi Courtney in 1:53. 

Evan Shetley (182) pinned Owensville’s Hunter Hutchison in 1:08 and had a forfeit victory against Potosi.

Tristan Brown (285) pinned Potosi’s Luis Ortiz in 5:57, while Owensville was open.

Dillon Witt (113) earned two forfeit wins. Luke Landwehr (195) won by forfeit against Owensville and lost to Potosi’s Kalub Evans.

Wyatt Medlock (220) had a forfeit win against Potosi and was pinned by Owensville’s Joseph Bauer.

Ethan Hurt (145) won by forfeit against Potosi. He lost by technical fall to Owensville’s Kolby Jahnsen. 

Trey Eplin (170) pinned Potosi’s Troy Harris in 2:46. He lost by technical fall to Owensville’s Blaine Schoenfeld.
