Sullivan Runs Winning Streak To 15
Sullivan’s winning streak reached 15 on Tuesday night in a 69-26 thrashing of Parkway South.
The Lady Eagles (15-1) were near-flawless on both ends. Besides burning up the scoreboard, they derailed the Patriots by forcing 14 turnovers and limiting them to 21 percent shooting.
Mallory Shetley scored 23 points, was 5-5 from beyond the arc and shot 9-for-11 overall.
Rylee Denbow and Kya Harbour continued their recent hot streaks from 3-point range, firing three each.
Both players finished with 13 points.
Hanna Johanning added six points on a pair of 3’s. Casey Licklider and Riley Lock scored five and Olivia Witt had four.
Sullivan shot 54 percent overall and boasted a 14-for-27 night on 3-point attempts.
They assisted on 21 of 27 field goals, led by Shetley with six and Johanning with five.
Sullivan also held a 24-23 rebounding edge. Harbour led the Lady Eagles with seven while dishing two assists.
Lock had six rebounds and Shetley five.
Sullivan came rolling out of the gates, posting a 20-8 lead after one quarter.
The Lady Eagles outscored Parkway South 16-2 in the second quarter and held a 36-10 lead at the break. They didn’t let up in the second half, outscoring the Patriots 20-6.
The 43-point margin of victory was Sullivan’s second largest of the season since beating Perryville by 48 a week earlier.
It also pushed them ahead of the 2017-2018 team, which got off to a 14-1 start.
