Sullivan Bashes Ladue, Zumwalt North

Sullivan unloaded on Ladue and Ft. Zumwalt North in the first two games of the Summit Softball Tournament Friday.

The Lady Eagles opened with a 20-4 victory over Ladue and followed up by beating Zumwalt North 17-1.

Kloey Blanton was a perfect 7-7 in the two games with eight RBIs. Addison Purvis was 5-6, slugged her third homer of the season and drove in six. Hannah Cox also went 5-6 with four RBIs. Abbey Daniel and Emma Weirich each had four hits.

Ladue

Sullivan batted in just two innings. They scored nine runs in the first and 11 in the second.

Abbey Daniel pitched two innings. She allowed two runs, four hits and struck out three. Hanna Johanning pitched the final inning and struck out two. She walked three and allowed two runs.

Blanton was 3-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored. Purvis doubled, homered, drove in four and scored three times.

Cox was 3-3 with a double, RBI and three runs scored.

Grace Glaser was 2-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Daniel tripled and drove in a run. Kylee Thomure singled and scored. Weirich singled, drove in three and scored twice.

Zumwalt North

The Lady Eagles had two runs in the first inning, then exploded for 12 in the second and added three more in the third.

Blanton was 4-4 with six RBIs. Purvis was 2-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Cox was 2-3 with three RBIs and two runs.

Daniel had two singles, drove in two runs and scored three runs. Johanning was 2-3 with two runs. Weirich was 3-3 with three runs scored.

Kamryn Lohden and Morgan Bobbitt singled and scored.

Purvis started and went three innings. She struck out five and allowed one run on one hit.
