Sharpshooting Seckman Pulls Away Early To Defeat Eagles

Seckman used a big second quarter run and a hot shooting hand to pull away and hand Sullivan a 71-62 loss on Tuesday.

Jordan Woodcock’s season-high 22 points weren’t enough for the Eagles (5-3), who fell for the second straight game.

The Jaguars were brutally efficient, shooting 70 percent overall from the field and 7-for-10 beyond the arc.

Owen Miller led Seckman with 20 points. He was 3-for-4 on 3-point attempts.

Josh Herget scored 12 and Isaac Hoog added nine.

Austin Orick provided a season-high 15 points for the Eagles. Orick splashed five 3-pointers.

Owen Farrell scored nine points, while Kolton Keen and Logan Kilburn added four. Jacob Hatcher and Dillon Farrell had three and Dallas Blankenship had two.

Sullivan turned the ball over 15 times against Seckman’s seven.

The Jaguars led 17-15 after one quarter, but the lead would only grow from there. They carried a 35-26 advantage into the half.

While Sullivan was able to get more offense going in the third quarter, they were still outscored 18-17 and unable to cut into the lead.

They outscored the Jaguars 19-18 in the final period.
