Lady Eagles Win Franklin County Rundown

Sullivan’s girls cross country team won the Franklin County Rundown on Saturday against St. Clair and Union.

The Lady Eagles had 26 team points and freshman Maggie Jones was the varsity champion.

Jones finished in 21:56 to take first. Vittoria Polanowski was sixth in 24:06. Baylee Coats took eighth in 24:21. Kayleigh Willman took 10th in 24:37. Madison Douthit finished 14th at 26:22 and Porscha Polanowski was 15th in 27:09.

Sullivan’s varsity boys were second to St. Clair. Ethan Light took fourth in 19:32. JC Thomas was eighth at 20:56. Alec McCormick came in ninth at 21:27. Dawson Amheiser was 13th in 22:26 and Draven Armstrong 14th at 23:31.

Maria Boero was Sullivan’s top junior varsity finisher. She came in sixth in 28:44. Rachel Rhoads took ninth at 29:27 and Maddy Brauninger was 11th at 29:56.

Maddie Joslin finished 16th in 33:08, Libbi Ransom was 17th in 33:26 and Emma Campbell took 18th at 33:47.
