Lady Eagles Take Third At North County Tournament

Sullivan took third September 15 at the North County Tournament in Bonne Terre, taking down Bismarck, Windsor and the host Raiders.

Two losses came against Ste. Genevieve and one against Festus.

Ste. Genevieve

Sullivan opened with a 26-24, 25-20 loss to the Dragons. Mallory Shetley led the team with six kills and five assists while chipping in four points and three aces. Katie Creek had five kills and four points. 

Riley Lock had six assists and five points. Kya Harbour had three points, Zariah Richards had two and Rylee Denbow one. Denbow and Hailey Volkmann each had two kills.

Bismarck

With a 25-11, 25-9 sweep over Bismarck, Sullivan rebounded. 

Shetley went off at the service line for six aces. She also had 19 points. 

Sullivan needed just 12 kills, led by Harbour with five. Shetley and Creek had two. 

Lock had seven points and three aces. Denbow finished with six points and one ace. Creek also recorded an ace. 

Festus

A strong Festus team took Sullivan down 25-12, 25-15. 

Shetley led Sullivan with four kills and five assists. She also had one point, which went down as an ace. Lock had three kills, Creek two and Harbour one.

Creek and Lock had two points. Denbow tallied five assists.

Windsor

Sullivan got back on track against Windsor with a 25-13, 25-17 victory.

Lock had five kills and six points. Harbour had 13 points, two aces and three kills.

Creek had nine points, two aces and three kills. Denbow had three kills and six assists.

Shetley had seven assists, two blocks and one kill. 

Volkmann had two kills, one block and two assists. Richards had three points. 

Ste. Genevieve

In a rematch against the Dragons, Sullivan fell short 12-25, 25-22, 22-25.

Creek provided eight kills, five points, two aces and one assist.

Denbow had 14 assists, five points, three kills and an ace.

Shetley registered nine points and five aces. She also had eight assists and four kills. 

Volkmann had five kills, one block and an assist. Lock had six points, three kills and a block. Richards had one point and one assist.

North County

Sullivan ended the day with a 25-20, 17-25, 25-22 against North County.

Shetley had another strong all-around game, lifting Sullivan with 12 points, 11 assists, eight kills and three aces.

Creek had seven kills, two blocks, two points and an assist.

Denbow had 12 assists, two kills and one point, tallied as an ace.

Harbour had five points, four kills and an assist.

Lock had seven points, five kills and a block.

Richards tallied six points. Volkmann had four kills, two blocks and two assists.
