Lady Eagles Receive All-State, All-Conference Honors

The honors continue to roll in for Sullivan softball players as the all-state and all-conference teams were released last week.

Seniors Addison Purvis and Hannah Cox received all-state honors for the fourth straight year.

Junior Hanna Johanning was named all-state for the second time.

Purvis was selected as the Four Rivers Conference Player of the Year for the third straight season.

Cox, Johanning, Madyson Stahl, Kloey Blanton and Kayla Ulrich were named all-conference.

Purvis, Cox and Johanning all received first-team honors.

Purvis hit .701 with 12 home runs, nine doubles and 46 RBIs during the 2019 season.

She pitched in 20 games, threw 97.1 innings, struck out 179 batters and had just a 0.93 ERA.

Cox hit .485 and led the team with 14 homers and 54 RBIs. No other player in the St. Louis area had more.

Johanning batted .412 with 21 doubles, six home runs, 41 RBIs and a team-high 38 runs.

Blanton earned her third all-conference selection after hitting .357 with 11 doubles and 28 RBIs.

A freshman, Ulrich hit .398 with 14 doubles, two home runs, a triple and 24 RBIs to receive all-conference honors.

Stahl hit .347 and led the team with 12 stolen bases as she earned her second all-conference nod.
