Lady Eagles Light Up Perryville With 17 3-Pointers

Sullivan lit up Perryville with 17 3-pointers on Tuesday and rolled to their 14th straight victory 75-27 in a non-conference game at home.

The Lady Eagles’ 14-1 start matched the breakneck pace of 2017-2018 squad that went on to win a district championship.

Rylee Denbow and Kya Harbour both had four 3-pointers on a night where every player had a hot hand.

Sullivan was 17-for-32 beyond the arc. Hanna Johanning contributed three 3-pointers. Porsche Polanowski, Mallory Shetley and Olivia Witt each had two.

Shetley led all scorers with 22 points on a near-perfect night from the floor. She was 9-for-10 and hit a pair of free throws.

Denbow and Harbour’s hot shooting beyond the arc allowed the Lady Eagles to stretch Perryville’s defense, which had no answers.

Both players finished with 14 points.

In the last three games, Harbour has shot 10-for-18 on 3-point attempts while averaging 15 points per game.

All four of her 3s on Tuesday came in the first quarter as Sullivan jumped out to a 29-6 lead. Denbow and Shetley also connected from deep.

Shetley tossed in a buzzer-beating shot from the corner.

Denbow hit her second Trey with 3:40 left to play in the second quarter to give the Lady Eagles a 34-10 lead.

Johanning, who finished with 11 points, scored on a fast break with 2:31 to go. She came back down with 25 seconds left to hit a 3-pointer and send Sullivan into halftime with a 41-14 lead.

Denbow opened the scoring with another 3 to begin the second half. Shetley found her cutting to the basket to extend it to 48-14. Johanning hit two more 3s and Polanowski added a basket with 1:20, giving Sullivan a 60-18 lead.

Polanowski and Witt each had 3-pointers with a running clock in the fourth quarter. Polanowski finished with eight points and Witt had six.
