Lady Eagles Go The Distance Against Union

Sullivan did what only one other Four Rivers Conference opponent has done against Union this season — play a full 80 minutes with Union.

The Lady Wildcats, who entered Tuesday’s game at Sullivan on an 11-game winning streak, scored three goals in the first half and four in the second half to win 7-0.

It was the first time a conference opponent took Union the distance since St. Clair lost 7-0 on March 18.

Sullivan (6-7-1) had five shot attempts, but couldn’t get one past Union goalkeeper Hannah Olive.

Hailey Cloud led the way with two goals, while Emma Cloud, Emily Gaebe, Maddie Helling, Maliyah Minor and Emilee Speer all had one. Emma Cloud finished with two assists.

Up Next

With their only game against Union out of the way, Sullivan gets a chance this week to focus on potential district opponents.

The Lady Eagles will be at the Owensville Tournament starting Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. start against Wright City.

Sullivan faces Owensville on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and St. James on Saturday at 9 a.m. Sullivan has split so far, dropping a game to the Dutchgirls and shutting out St. James.
