Lady Eagles Extend Winning Streak To Five

Sullivan won their fourth and fifth straight games in a 49-25 rout against Warrenton on Monday at SHS, then a rematch against Nerinx Hall on Thursday, 48-45.

The Lady Eagles (5-1) have won five straight. Last week’s non-conference victories followed up a championship victory at the Marquette Tournament on December 6.

Warrenton

Mallory Shetley scored 24 points for the Lady Eagles.

Shetley added five rebounds, two assists and three blocks. She was 3-for-3 beyond the arc.

Rylee Denbow scored 15 points and Kya Harbour added seven. She also collected six rebounds and dished three assists.

Riley Lock scored two points to go with three steals and two assists. Casey Licklider had one point.

Sullivan led 16-5 after one quarter and opened up a 25-10 lead at the half. 

With a 17-3 run in the third quarter, the Lady Eagles held a 42-13 advantage.

Nerinx Hall

Facing off against the Markers for the second time in six days, Sullivan had to battle to the end.

The Lady Eagles squeaked out a 48-45 win behind 14 points and 10 rebounds from Lock.

Shetley scored 11 points to go with four rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.

Denbow scored 10 points. Harbour and Johanning each had five points. Porsche Polanowski scored two and Payton Dudley had one.

Lyndsey Heckel again propped up the Markers. After scoring 20 points in their championship game against Sullivan on December 6, she scored 18 points.

Mackenzie Duff aided her with 15 points.

Those two players combined to take 22 of Nerinx Hall’s 37 shots.
