Lady Eagles Earn First Two Victories

Sullivan is in the win column.

The Lady Eagles were victorious twice on Saturday at the Rolla Tournament, knocking off the host Bulldogs and Potosi.

Sullivan fell in three other contests to Blair Oaks, Osage and Fatima.

Rolla

Sullivan opened the day with a victory against Rolla.

Rolla won in straight sets when the teams played each other in September, but the Lady Eagles won 25-17, 25-18 for their first win.

Olivia Witt led the team with six kills and she added seven points.

Cassidy Cunningham tallied four kills.

Erica Juergens and Abby Wiegers each had three.

Saige Carey had 10 points, four assists, one block and one kill.

Parker Williamson had three points. Maci Nolie had two points and led the team with 12 assists.

Morgan Clonts had two points.

Potosi

Sullivan won 25-20, 25-16 to push past Potosi.

Witt again led the team with nine kills to go along with seven points and two aces.

Wieges had five kills, two points and one ace.

Nolie had four kills with a team-high 16 assists.

Cunningham recorded four kills with one block and one assist. Juergens had one kill and an assist.

Williamson and Carey each had six points.

Blair Oaks

In a rematch from the season opener, Sullivan squared off against Blair Oaks.

The first set went down to the wire, with the Falcons prevailing 25-23.

Blair Oaks closed it out with a 25-14 victory in the second set.

Kills were hard to come by as Sullivan totaled just 11.

Witt and Wiegers each had four. Juergens provided two and Cunningham one.

Williamson and Clonts had five points each. Williamson served two aces.

Osage

Sullivan struggled 20-25, 16-25 to Osage.

Witt had five of the team’s eight kills. Cunningham, Juergens and Wiegers had the other three.

Carey, Clonts and Williamson scored three points each.

Nolie led the team with five assists.

Fatima

The day ended with identical 16-25 losses.

Witt had a team-high 11 kills. Wiegers finished with five and Cunningham two. Carey, Clonts and Nolie provided one each.

Nolie had 17 assists.

Williamson led the team with five points.
