Lady Eagles Cruise Past New Haven

Sullivan’s defense has bullied opponents all season long, but Thursday’s Four Rivers Conference game against New Haven was the most lopsided.

Holding the Lady Shamrocks to a mere point in the second half, Sullivan cruised to a 42-12 victory and placed them one win away from owning a share of the conference championship.

New Haven went scoreless in the third quarter and Claire Meyer’s free throw with 5:55 left in the fourth represented the only score for the Lady Shamrocks, who finished winless in conference play.

Sullivan brought its reserves into the game late and still shut down New Haven.

Mallory Shetley scored 16 points, pulled in three rebounds and dished three assists. She also had two steals.

Kya Harbour added 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. Riley Lock had eight points and eight rebounds.

Vittoria Polanowski scored three points and Hanna Johanning and Kierstin Jones each had two.

Sullivan led 18-11 at the half and went on a 17-0 third quarter run.
