Lady Eagles Advance To Union Tourney Championship

Sullivan dominated the second half on Saturday to defeat Union 45-29 and advance to the championship game of the Union Tournament.

The Lady Eagles ran their winning streak to 13 games and took the first of three potential meetings against Union.

Union (10-2) came in as an offensive juggernaut, averaging 56 points per game. Until Saturday, the Lady ‘Cats had not screwed fewer than 45 points in a game.

But Sullivan’s defense was too much for Union.

Union held a 20-19 lead at the half, but Sullivan charged ahead in the third quarter. They ripped off a 15-2 run and left the Lady ‘Cats deep in the hole.
