Jones Finishes Third At FRC Meet, Lady Eagles Fourth

Douthit finishes third in JV race

Maggie Jones led Sullivan’s girls Tuesday at the Four Rivers Conference meet in Owensville with a third-place finish.

Overall, Sullivan took fourth place, as Owensville dominated the top 10 and won the event. The Dutchgirls’ Sophie Ashner and Kendra Hults took first and second respectively, while Alesha Shockley and Paige Heckelmann were fourth and fifth respectively. Katie Candri took ninth.

Other top finishers were Pacific’s Sarah Aehle in sixth; New Haven’s Emma McIntyre and Julia McIntyre in seventh and eighth respectively; and Pacific’s Faith Gerling in 10th.

Owensville had 21 points. New Haven took second with 63 points. Pacific came in third with 83 points, followed by Sullivan with 89 points. St. Clair tallied 102 points and took fifth and Hermann finished sixth with 162 points.

Jones had a time of 21:15.11. Bria Jones came in 13th with a time of 22:47.65. Andrea Chazarreta finished 22nd in 23:42.99. Vittoria Polanowski was 28th in 24:14.55. Kayleigh Willman finished 32nd in 24:54.68. Porscha Polanowski came in 36th in 25:20.86.

Boys

Ethan Light was Sullivan’s top finisher in the boys varsity race, taking 40th in 21:10.45. Alec McCormick came in 43rd in 21:21.10. Dawson Amheiser took 47th in 21:59.73. Tim Bandy was 49th at 22:16.52. Sam Walker came in 51st in 22:25.07. Braden Ziltz finished 53rd in 22:32.21.

Owensville and Pacific went neck-and-neck, but the Dutchmen prevailed with 45 points to Pacific’s 48 to win the championship.

New Haven took third with 71 points. Hermann came in fourth with 123. St. Clair had 137 points to finish fifth. St. James was sixth with 157 points. Union came in seventh with 171 points and Sullivan was eighth with 213 points.

Pacific’s Will Green won first place in 17:37.80, topping New Haven’s Joseph Rethemeyer, who had a time of 17:50.52. Owensville’s Graham Dunlap and Jacob Giedinghagen were third and fourth respectively. New Haven’s Nathan Ford took fifth. St. Clair Tyler Stark came in sixth. St. James’ Mason Parker was seventh. Pacific’s Saxon Hagemann and Connor Robinson were eighth and ninth respectively. Owensville’s Michael Lahmeyer took 10th.

JV Girls

Madison Douthit took third place in the junior varsity girls race with a time of 24:47.89. Maria Boero was 11th in 27:23.77. Adrianna Helms finished 15th in 29:03.25. Rachel Rhoads took 17th in 29:25.10. Maddy Brauninger came in 18th in 29:58.91. Libbi Ransom was 23rd in 31:35.18. Emma Campbell came in 25th in 33:06.06.
