Jones Finishes Sixth, Advances To State Meet

Freshman Maggie Jones qualified for the Class 3 state meet Saturday by finishing sixth at the District 2 meet in Linn.

Jones led the Lady Eagles with a time of 21:08.28 and will be Sullivan's only athlete at the state meet Saturday.

Bria Jones took 22nd in 23:16.96. Porscha Polanowski finished 25th 23:33.26. Kayleigh Willman took 30th in 23:52.43. Vittoria Polanowski was 32nd and had a time of 24:12.64. Andrea Chazarreta was 42nd and finished in 25:12.42. Baylee Coats came in 44th with a time of 25:26.08.

As a team, the Lady Eagles finished fourth with 96 points. Owensville had 36 points and took first.

For the boys, Alec McCormick was the top finisher, getting 52nd in 20:32.05. John Thomas took 57th in 21:16.39.

Dawson Amheiser was 66th in 22:05.36. Braden Ziltz finished 71st in 22:36.62. Tim Bandy took 72nd in 22:46.92.

Borgia finished first place with 30 points.
