Girls Finish Second At Sullivan

Sullivan’s girls cross country team took second place at their home meet Tuesday, led by freshman Maggie Jones, who finished second in the standings.

Westminster took first with 21 points. Sullivan had 63 points. Washington was third with 66 points. St. Clair had 77 points for fourth place and Cuba was fifth with 129 points.

Jones had a time of 19:03. Baylee Coats was 12th in 21:03. Vittoria Polanowski took 15th and finished in 21:17. Kayleigh Williman was 16th at 21:23. Porsha Polanowski came in 18th at 21:37.

Boys

St. Clair took first place with 27 points, beating out Bourbon (46), Sullivan (78) and Cuba (90).

Ethan Light was Sullivan’s top finisher. He took sixth place and crossed the finish line in 18:31. JC Thomas was 13th in 19:34. Alec McCormick came in 16th in 19:55. Sam Walker took 20th in 20:53. Dawson Amheiser was 24th in 21:22. Braden Ziltz and Draven Armstrong finished 27th and 28th respectively in 22:06 and Tim Bandy 29th in 22:53.

JV

Madison Douthit took third with a time of 23:08. Rachel Rhoads was 17th in 26:00. Maria Boero came in 18th in 26:20. Libbi Ransom was 20th at 26:51. Maddie Brauninger took 24th in 28:10. Maddy Joslin was 26th at 28:19 and Emma Cambel took 27th in 28:35.
