Farmington Tops FCNB Bank It Challenge Bracket

Farmington and Waynesville are the two newest additions to the FCNB Bank It Challenge and both are the top two seeds in the fifth annual tournament, which tips off Monday, November 28 at Sullivan High School.

The Knights were 18-9 a year ago and advanced to the finals of the Class 4 District 2 tournament where they fell to Hillsboro.

Waynesville will be the No. 2 seed and the Tigers were district runner-ups last season, falling to Willard in the Class 4 District 10 tournament.

Sullivan is the defending champion and No. 3 seed.

St. James and Steelville are the fourth and fifth seeds. Potosi grabbed the sixth seed.

Salem will be the seventh seed and St. Clair the eighth.

Farmington and St. Clair will get the action started Monday at 6 p.m. They will be followed by St. James and Steelville. 

Action resumes Tuesday when Waynesville takes on Salem at 6 p.m., followed by Sullivan and Potosi at 7:30 p.m.

Championship semifinals will be played Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. with the winners from the Farmington-Salem and St. James-Steelville games. The winners from Waynesville-Salem and Sullivan-Potosi will be played at 7:30 p.m. 

The consolation semifinals will be played Wednesday with the losers from Farmington-St. Clair and St. James-Steelville at 6 p.m. and losers from Waynesville-Salem and Sullivan-Potosi at 7:30 p.m.

Seventh-place will be played Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Consolation starts at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by third-place at 6:30 p.m. and the championship game at 8 p.m.
