Eagles Win Season Opener Against Washington

Sullivan rolled through Class 3 foe Washington on Wednesday to win their season opener, 51-27.
Dillon Freeman (113), Dillon Witt (126), Ty Shetley (138), Ethan Hurt (145), Ransom Dudley (160), Kobie Blankenship (170), Trey Eplin (182), Evan Shetley (220) and Tristan Brown (285) all scored victories.
Evan Shetley and Brown, Sullivan’s two all-state returners, pinned a pair of Washington’s state qualifiers in Chris Griesenauer and Gavin Holtmeyer.
In exhibition action, Kayden Bryan (145), Dillon Kassebaum (160) and Alex Goly (170) won their matches.
Sullivan wrestles again Friday in a quad meet against St. Charles West, Moberly and Priory.
