Eagles Third, McKinney-White Pairing Takes Sixth At Sullivan Tournament

Sullivan took third place at their own tournament on April 12 at the Sullivan Country Club.

The pairing of Cody McKinney and Kaleb White were sixth among the partners.

Lutheran South took first place with a team score of 233. St. Francis Borgia was second at 242. Sullivan shot 270. St. James finished fourth at 288. Union came in fifth at 289. Pacific was sixth, shooting 290. St. Clair was seventh and shot 347. Sullivan’s junior varsity team finished eighth at 398 and Owensville came in ninth at 374.

The tournament was divided into best ball, alternate shot and scramble.

McKinney and White shot 83. Jordan Woodcock and Jacob Andreasson shot 91. Austin Frye and Tanner Jackson carded 96.

The pairing of Cameron Cunningham and Blaine Blankenship and the trio of Logan Watters, Charlie Lohden and Jason Hurt both shot 103.

Lutheran South’s pairing of Zach Shirley and Elijah Shirley were first. Borgia’s pair of Zach Unnerstall and Mark Maguire were second. Union’s Garrett Klenke and Jacob Towell were third. 

Lutheran South’s Andy Hennen and Smith finished fourth. The Lutheran South pair of Patrick Myers and Jack Anderson were fifth. McKinney and White tied with the Borgia pair of Brady Linz and Gus Burrow tied for sixth.

St. Clair’s Justin Hoffman and Ryan Bozada were eighth.

Borgia’s Brady Swartz and Will Warden were ninth. 

Pacific’s Jared Hootman and Gage Crowell came in 10th.

Conference Meets

Sullivan competed at their home course last Tuesday against Owensville, St. James and Union. The Eagles shot 194.

Union led with 183. St. James shot 208 and Owensville 256. 

Woodcock had Sullivan’s top score, carding a 47.

On Wednesday, the team took on St. Clair and Hermann. 

St. Clair shot 193 to lead the field. Sullivan carded a 202 and Hermann 215.

The Four Rivers Conference Meet was scheduled for Tuesday at Sullivan.
