Eagles Romp To First Win

The waiting is over.

A week after a frustrating loss to Pacific, Sullivan rolled Hermann 41-7 on Friday to earn their first victory of the season.

The Eagles scored 28 straight points.

It also went down as the first win for head coach Eddie Haar at Sullivan.

Sophomore quarterback Gabe Dace threw five touchdown passes as the Eagles put together their most complete offensive game of the year.

Dace connected with Gavin Dace and Jason Blankenship twice. He also found Alex Goly.

Ian King had Sullivan’s only touchdown on the ground.

Gabe Dace completed 14 of 16 passes for 259 yards. He also added 44 yards on six carries.

Sullivan rolled up 392 yards of offense, 133 yards coming on the ground.

Trey Blankenship rushed for 28 yards on five carries.

Goly finished with 22 yards on five carries.

King rushed seven times for 20 yards.

Jason Blankenship had 10 yards and freshman Jeremiah Rodriguez carried the ball three times for nine yards.

Gabe Dace completed passes to four different receivers, led by Goly. The junior had six grabs for 88 yards.

Jason Blankenship caught four passes for 73 yards, including a 60-yard score.

Dillon Farrell hauled in two passes for 59 yards.

Both of Gavin Dace’s catches went for touchdowns.

Sullivan jumped out to a 7-0 lead on Dace’s 60-yard touchdown pass to Jason Blankenship.

He later found Gavin Dace to open up a 13-0 lead, but Hermann cut into the deficit with Parker Anderson’s touchdown pass to Brody Frederick.

Dace connected on his third touchdown pass with Blankenship from six yards out to build the lead to 19-7.

Dace hit Gavin and Goly for his fourth and fifth touchdown passes.

King found the end zone to give the Eagles a 41-7 lead.
