Eagles Open Season With Tourney Championship

With a 4-2 win over West Plains, Sullivan opened the 2017 season with the Lebanon Tournament championship Saturday.

The Eagles (3-0) ran through the field. They defeated host Lebanon 5-2 on Friday, shut out Osage 5-0 on Saturday and finished off West Plains later that afternoon.

Jacob Rohrer had eight goals in the three games, including three each against Osage and West Plains.

Lebanon

Sullivan scored three times in the first half and twice more in the second. Rohrer and Ross Brady each had two goals. Danny Keogh added one. Rohrer and Ethan Kackley each had two assists.

Jacob Wiley made two saves in goal.

Osage

Rohrer continued his scoring streak with three goals in a 5-0 win. The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half.

Kackley and Keogh added goals, while Wiley earned his first shutout.

Landon Hoffman led Sullivan with two assists. Rohrer and Brendan Labbe each had one.

West Plains

Sullivan twice fell behind the Zizzers in the championship game, but Rohrer and Kackley delivered clutch goals in the 4-2 victory.

Rohrer tied the game at 1-1 with a goal in the first half. West Plains went back on top, but Kackley tied it up with a penalty kick.

Rohrer put Sullivan ahead with a goal late in the half, then added one for insurance in the second.

Jacob Hamblin had Sullivan's only assist. Wiley had five saves.
