Eagles Hold Off St. Clair To Win Tiger Classic

Sullivan held off St. Clair by four strokes Wednesday to win the St. James Tiger Classic at the St. James Golf Club.

As a team, the Eagles shot 372 to St. Clair’s 376. 

Union (381) came in third. St. James (389) was fourth and Pacific (412) rounded out the top five.

Hermann (422) took sixth, Salem (429) was seventh and Owensville (542) finished eighth.

Cody McKinney and Jacob Andreasson medaled for the Eagles. McKinney took third and Andreasson finished ninth.

Kaleb White, Jordan Woodcock and Tanner Jackson also competed for the Eagles.

White finished tied for 11th. Jackson was 14th and Woodcock tied for 20th.

McKinney carded an 83 for the day, shooting a 40 on the front nine and 43 on the back. 

Andreasson shot 91. He was at 47 through the first nine holes, then came back with 44.

White shot 97, finishing with a 46 on the front nine and 51 to finish. 

Jackson and Woodcock each improved their scores on the back nine.

Jackson shot 53 on the front nine and 48 on the back. Woodcock carded 56, then bounced back with a 49.

Hermann’s Thomas Henson was the top medalist, shooting a 68. Henson birdied three holes on the front nine and finished par on six others. His only bogey came on the 12th hole.

Union’s Garrett Klenke was second, followed by McKinney, St. James’ Micah Bartle, St. Clair’s Justin Hoffman, Pacific’s Gage Crowell, St. Clair’s Calvin Juergens, Andreasson, Union’s Jacob Towell and St. Clair’s Brandon Gallegos.
