Eagles Cross Country Runners Compete At Forest Park

Sullivan’s cross country runners competed at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival Sept. 9, with Maggie Jones winning the freshmen race, Kayleigh Willman finishing 29th and Porscha Polanowski and Baylee Coats finishing Top 50 in the varsity girls white division.

Jones had a time of 12:27 to win her second race of the season. Willman had a time of 14:00 and she earned a medal.

Also competing in the freshmen race was Cheyenne Myler, taking 60th in 15:52.90 and Madeline Joslin in 17:46.

The freshmen race was a 5K.

Polanowski had a time of 24:29.70 for 46th. Coats was 49th in 24:35.80. Vittoria Polanowski came in 57th with a time of 24:50.60. Andrea Chazzareta was 65th in 25:16. Madison Douthit finished in 26:07.50.

In the junior varsity race, Libbi Ransom had a time of 32:20.

On the boys side, Ethan Light was the top finisher. He finished 72nd with a time of 20:02. Alec McCormick had a time of 21:27.10. Sam Walker crossed the line at 21:38. Dawson Amheiser finished at 23:02. Draven Armstrong’s time was 23:30. Tim Bandy came in at 23:31 and Braden Ziltz at 24:46.
