The Lady Eagles fell 10-0 to Kickapoo in the opener, but rebounded a few hours later to defeat Bolivar 7-1.

Bolivar

Sullivan would get all the scoring they needed with seven runs through the first innings.

The Liberators were nearly helpless against Lady Eagles starter Jaedin Blankenship, who went six innings, allowed two hits, struck out seven and walked two.

Kayla Ulrich drew a leadoff walk and scored on a passed ball to give Sullivan a run in the first.

The Lady Eagles added on five runs in the second. Four came with two outs.

Riley Branson’s bunt single scored Alexis Johnson. Madyson Stahl hit a two-run single to center, then Hanna Johanning tripled for a 5-0 lead.

Johanning scored on another passed ball to give Sullivan a 6-0 lead.

Johnson hit a one-out triple in the third and scored when Blankenship drove a single to center.

Bolivar would get on the board in the sixth on a steal of home.

Sullivan finished with seven hits, two each by Stahl and Johnson.

Kickapoo

Kickapoo held a 2-0 lead over Sullivan after three innings, but the floodgates burst open with an eight-run fourth.

Johanning started and went 3.1 innings. She was charged with just one earned run following three Sullivan errors.

Blankenship got the final two outs.

Ulrich had Sullivan’s only hit.

Kickapoo broke a scoreless game with a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.

With one out in the fourth, Kickapoo scored three runs in the span of two batters on two errors and a passed ball.
