Boys Win Seven Events, Finish Runner-Up At FRC Meet

Sullivan put together a strong performance Monday at the Four Rivers Conference track meet at Union High School.

The Eagles claimed first in seven events, including four field events and three relays. 

Overall, it added up to a runner-up finish for Sullivan. Union dominated the field and won first.

St. James was third, Owensville fourth, Pacific fifth, Hermann sixth, St. Clair seventh and New Haven eighth.

Blaine Blankenship won the long jump and triple jump. Tyler Hesse won the discus and Trevor Hamblin finished first in the javelin.

Blankenship also was part of the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams.

The 4x100 team of Blankenship, Jason Blankenship, Ross Farris and Ethan Krygiel took first. The 4x200 team of Krygiel, Jonathan Krygiel, Blaine Blankenship and Jason Blankenship and the 4x400 team of Kyle Lewis, Ethan Krygiel, Ethan Light and Jonathan Krygiel also were first.
