Darrell E. Blum

Darrell Blum, age 80, formerly of Bourbon, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Sunset Health Care Center in Union, MO. 

Darrell Edgar Blum was born on April 4, 1939 in Bourbon, MO, the son of William and Hester (Lutzenburg) Blum. Due to some complicated learning disabilities, he lived at home with his parents most of his life. Later on in his adult years, Darrell went to live at Sunset Health Care Center where he enjoyed the company of the other residents. He especially loved attending the church services at Sunset. Darrell lived a simple life and he will be very missed by his family and friends.

Darrell is survived by his three brothers: Richard Blum and wife, Phyllis, of Sullivan, MO, Marvin Blum of Sullivan, MO, and Albert Blum and wife, Georgia, of Bourbon, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and residents at Sunset Health Care Center. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William “Bill” Blum, Jr.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Dean Hollenbeck as the officiant. Interment followed in Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, MO

Visitation was held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
