• Students had a fun (though sometimes embarrassing) time acting out a moral play as it was read by a REAP team leader. They were good sports and performed admirably!
  • 1ST and 2ND graders colored paper snakes and "drove" them out of "Ireland" just as St. Patrick did-by beating a drum.
  • Isabella, Allie and Meredith all earned blue ribbons for their performances. Congratulations!

St. Anthony School News

So many things are going on at St. Anthony this month! The 7th and 8th grade Confirmation candidates participated in a REAP Retreat held out at Holy Martyrs Parish. The retreat focused on their responsibilities as adults in the Catholic Church and touched on being honest, compassionate, and learning to deal with the pressures of keeping a moral lifestyle. In between serious talks, there were many fun activities for the students.

The 1st and 2nd grade class learned about St. Patrick and his mission to teach the people of Ireland about the God. They learned about the many legends surrounding St. Patrick, including the one about how he drove all the snakes out of Ireland, and his use of a shamrock to teach about the Holy Trinity.

The Speech Club attended a Bellarmine Speech Meet at Our Lady of Lourdes last weekend and all three participants earned blue ribbons! Meredith performed a humorous speech, while Allie and Isabella teamed up for a duet. The Speech Club helps students learn to become relaxed and adept at presenting and speaking in front of others, a valuable skill in today's world.

St. Anthony is now accepting new students for the 2018-19 school year. You may contact the school for more information or for a tour.
