British Longhair Sisters' First Outside Adventure Is One for the Books
Felines are curious little adventurers who'd sooner frolic in a meadow than hang out inside near the window, watching nature happen out of their reach. Even your everyday domestic kitties get a real kick out of tapping into their wild side whenever possible. One of my cats recently realized he likes to "hunt" stuffies lying around, and it's the cutest thing!
British Longhair sisters Biscuit and Blueberry recently had the thrill of a lifetime when Mom took them along for a fun day outdoors. They smelled and climbed to their hearts' content, like they'd done it a thousand times before. This is one adventure that will be hard to top!
@ourcatbiscuitPOV: you took your indoor cats on their very first countryside adventure 🌾
♬ Ballerina - Yehezkel RazAny of my three cats would do anything for a day like this. The beautiful girls may have initially been confused as to what was happening, but they quickly shed any fears to explore the great outdoors, and they did a stellar job making it look so easy-breezy!
Related: British Longhair Cat Transforms From Peach Fuzz to Butterscotch Cloud in Cute Clip
If you judged the dynamic duo based on their British Longhair looks alone, you might think they'd be way too prissy for something so athletic. They're here to show the haters that looks are deceiving because they can do anything their outside cat friends can do, and then some.
When Biscuit and Blueberry aren't taking rides in Mom's kitty backpack to investigate cool trees, the stunning sisters love napping together in the sweetest cuddle puddle around.
@ourcatbiscuitand then becoming one emotional support cuddle… 🤍
♬ original sound - Joe Gunn How To Safely Take an Inside Cat Outside To ExploreIf you have indoor cats and feel inspired, you can take your kitties outside to explore, too—but there are some things to keep in mind so all goes smoothly.
First, slowly introduce them to wearing a secure harness (with a snug fit to prevent escape) and leash, practicing inside so they get used to the feeling. Don't force things too quickly; instead, practicing 5 to 10 minutes in supervised sessions in a quiet place can go a long way. Once they're familiar with the restraint, you can move to the backyard and slowly increase the time.
A cat backpack or portable playpen are alternatives to a harness and leash (or in combination with). As long as they're either contained or on some kind of lead, your cats can release their wild sides and have as much fun as Biscuit and Blueberry!

Golden Retriever Tries To Catch a Handful of Shredded Cheese Like It’s Confetti
Most dogs are used to the routine of getting a treat, one piece at a time, either for a quick, delicious snack or a small reward for hard practice. They understand the simple transition, with some doing cute tricks like waiting for the word "go" and others waiting patiently by their food dish until their parent drops the snack.
Well, one Golden Retriever suddenly finds herself in a unique snack situation where she's being asked to work a little for her delicious treat, and she takes no issue rising to the occasion.
@alyssamorganspamshe tried really hard #goldenretriever #dog #cute #fyp
♬ Lakme - Flower Duet - Lorne Balfe & Russell Emanuel & Steve KofskyTikToker @alyssamorganspam shared a video featuring her adorably cute Golden Retriever, Rosie. She's outside, patiently watching her parent behind the camera. And she wants her snack.
Related: Golden Retriever’s Reaction To Finding Out It’s His Birthday Is Too Pure
It's not a typical snack exchange, though. Instead of gently taking a tiny bite from her parent's hand, she gets a full-on shredded cheese shower and wastes no time rising to the task. Her pet parent tosses a small handful of shredded cheese into the air, and she goes right to work trying to catch every piece midair like the ultimate snack challenge. We're not sure if she succeeded at all, and that's what makes it so funny.
In the comments, others were giggling at her attempts, too. Some comments included, "Not her just being covered in cheese afterward," "Look at that pretty girl," "But she looked pretty doing it," and a lot of red heart emojis.

Is Cheese Safe for Dogs To Eat?We can easily tell that Rosie loves shredded cheese so much that she will try to catch some when it's tossed up in the air outside, which is so cute. And it's a good snack for her, too, according to experts.
The American Kennel Club shares that cheese is safe for dogs to eat, and it's actually a great snack to use when you're trying to teach your pup new tricks. The club explains that because cheese contains vitamin A, essential fatty acids, calcium, and protein, it benefits their health. And the biggest bonus of cheese is that most dogs love it, and it's often used in treat-motivated training or to encourage a dog to take medicine when it's hidden in the dairy.
The American Kennel Club does add that dogs don't need more than a few shreds or a small cube, and having more than that might tip the benefits in the wrong direction. Of course, though, if you’re concerned or unsure, it’s always a good idea to check in with your dog’s vet! But, as Rosie shows, doggies love the treat, and we love watching them eat it up!
Orange Kitten’s Dramatic Eye Mask Makes Him Look Like a Tiny Supervillain
Cats are famous for their striking coats and unusual markings, but every once in a while, a kitten shows up with fur patterns so perfect they almost look intentional. One tiny Orange Kitten is currently stealing hearts online thanks to markings that make him look like he’s wearing a full-blown supervillain mask.
Seriously, it looks like someone gave this kitten dramatic eyeliner and told him to go plot world domination.

♬ Die With A Smile - Lady Gaga & Bruno MarsTikTok user @premium.pet.corner shared a tiny Orange Kitten with striking black markings around his ears and eyes. The perfectly placed fur creates what looks like a dark eye mask, giving the kitten the appearance of a tiny comic book villain.
The caption jokingly reads, “My liner got smudged,” which honestly feels like the most accurate explanation.

Viewers immediately fell in love with the kitten’s dramatic look.
“That is a true Egyptian princess cat if I ever saw one,” one commenter wrote.
Another viewer admired the kitten’s accidental makeup skills.
“Now this is how you do a smoky eye.”
People could not get over how unique the markings are.
“His markings are beautiful.”
“That kitty has the coolest markings. Gorgeous little thing.”
One person thought the kitten looked like a certain comic book hero.
“Wolverine kitty.”
And another commenter summed up the vibe perfectly.
“Oh yes, that's cat-eye makeup to a whole other level. Gorgeous.”
Here's Another Clip of This Stunning Kitty @premium.pet.corner#pet #fur #cat #petsoftiktok #cutepet
♬ Ordinary Feb 14 - alexwarrenupdates (fan page)In another video shared by the same account, the little kitten is sitting calmly on top of a piano, looking every bit as dramatic and mysterious as his eye mask suggests. The markings really are that striking from every angle.
Of course, while this kitten may look like a tiny supervillain, Orange Cats are actually known for being some of the friendliest and most chaotic cats around.
I should know, because I have two Orange Cats myself, and they are both equal parts affectionate and ridiculous. Orange Cats have a reputation for being especially social, curious, and a little bit goofy, which makes their dramatic appearance even funnier.
So while this kitten might look like he’s planning something sinister with that perfect eye mask, chances are he’s actually just thinking about snacks, zoomies, and knocking something off a table later.

The Benefits of Crate TrainingWhile crate training can sometimes be a charged topic, it's actually a great way to give your dog a safe, cozy space of their own, helping them feel more secure and confident at home. Dogs naturally gravitate toward small, enclosed areas, so a properly introduced crate can quickly become a comfortable den they actually enjoy spending time in.
Crate training also makes housebreaking a new pet a whole lot easier by giving them a calm, safe spot to retreat to during stressful moments or when you step out for a quick errand. It provides security on car trips and while traveling, helps after surgery or vet visits, and supports your dog as they adjust to new changes around the house. Done right, crate training builds strong habits, establishes a sense of routine, reduces anxiety, and gives your pup a place they'll treat as home base.

German Shorthaired Pointer Annoyed With Bernese Pup Brother Is Comedy Gold
In a house with various pets, personalities, and temperaments, there's probably one in the mix who tolerates just about anything, whether they like it or not. They're the sweet, docile dogs and cats who rarely make a fuss because it's just not in their nature. I have one precious kitty who's a nonchalant, laid-back charmer... until he can't take his sisters' shenanigans another second—then he goes off!
I think this is what's going through German Shorthaired Pointer Millie's head as her Bernese Mountain Dog bro goes ham all over her face. She's doing her best not to flip out, and it's a hilarious sight!

Evening Routine With Three Golden Retrievers and Two Tiny Humans Is Beyond Precious
There's a lot of activity in this household, and Golden Retrievers, Riley, Millie, and Bear, make sure they never miss a beat. In this video depicting the household's evening routine, the "three nannies" supervise bath time, bedtime, and everything in between for their two human siblings and parents. Whether they're checking out the tub, demanding cuddles by the fire pit, or making themselves comfy on the couple's bed, these sweet pups make sure the heart of this home is centered around them.
View this post on InstagramThese Golden helpers work hard and deserve a good night's sleep, which they ensure they get – perhaps at their parents' expense. Their large bodies are sprawled out across the couple's bed like they own the place (which, of course, they do).
But as one person points out in the comments, "having zero space when you finally crawl into bed is so relatable. I wouldn’t trade them for all the comfort and good sleep in the world."
So true. Who needs quality sleep when surrounded by this much love?

Golden Retrievers are exceptional helpers due to their high intelligence, eagerness to please, and gentle nature. They are also task-oriented, which makes them strong candidates for roles such as search-and-rescue, therapy, and service companionship.
At their core, Goldens hit that rare sweet spot: gentle, intuitive, and highly trainable. They’re naturally people-oriented, which means they want to stay close, pay attention, and respond to their humans’ needs—whether that’s emotional or physical.
Golden Retrievers can be trained to guide people with visual impairments, retrieve items for those with mobility challenges, alert to medical issues like seizures or low blood sugar, and even provide grounding during anxiety or panic attacks. And in therapy settings, their calm, patient demeanor makes them especially comforting. This TikTok perfectly illustrates the Golden's capacity for providing comfort:
@kellyclarksonshowThe sweetest helpers 🥰 @Golden Retriever Life #dog #dogtherapy #goldenretriever
♬ original sound - Kelly Clarkson ShowGoldens are also easy to be around in public. They tend to be social without being reactive, which matters when a service dog is navigating crowded spaces, unexpected interactions, or curious strangers.
Size-wise, they land in a practical middle ground — strong enough to assist physically, but not so large that they’re difficult to manage day to day. Add in their intelligence, eagerness to please, and strong work ethic, and it’s easy to see why they consistently rank among the top service dog breeds.
So, it turns out that Riley, Millie, and Bear were doing what Goldens do best: providing support, comfort, and tons of love.

Foster Shih-Tzu Has the Sweetest Way of ‘Demanding’ Attention and It’s Impossible to Resist
Well-known animal advocate Isabel Klee has fostered over 30 dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and personalities. She is currently caring for Raven, a Shih-Tzu who is recovering from some health issues, including a recent surgery to remove a mass from her hind end. Raven has made tremendous progress and gets more energetic each day.
Klee noticed a habit Raven developed to communicate when she wants attention, and it's downright adorable.

"You have to see the way my foster dog demands attention," the onscreen text read, with the caption adding, "The princess demands her pets."
Every time he stopped and moved his arm away from her, Raven literally stuck her paw out, wrapped it around Jacob's arm, and brought it back to her. It was her own way of saying, "Get back to work." Klee and Jacob were totally amused by her gentle insistence.
"She literally hooks her arm around it and pulls it back," Klee said, laughing.
Raven Didn't Allow BreaksThe precious pooch was vigilant in making sure Jacob stayed on the job. The second he stopped petting her, her paw reached out for him to continue. Her persistence for pets was too cute to resist.
"Raven, we have jobs," Klee told her, cracking up.
Followers fell in love with Raven's adorable requests and felt her expectations should be fulfilled.

Little Dachshund Blows Out His Birthday Candles Like He Legit Understands the Assignment
Some dog birthday videos are cute because the pup looks adorable in a hat. Some are funny because the cake is bigger than the dog. And then there is Otto, who somehow took one look at his birthday candle and decided he was going to handle this celebration himself.
In the video, Otto has his tiny paws up on the table, staring at his birthday cake like he fully understands this is his moment. There is one candle, one sweet little Dachshund face, and a level of focus that feels almost suspicious. He is locked in.
@ottothedachsyI never expected him to do that!! 🥹 #dachshund #sausagedog #minidachshund #wienerdog #miniaturedachshund
♬ original sound - Pixar & Dreamworks 🐐And then he does it.
He blows out the candle.
Not by accident. Not by some random puff of air while sniffing around. Otto really looks like he sees the flame, considers the situation, and responds like a dog who has attended at least three prior birthdays and knows exactly what is expected of him. It is honestly amazing.
The post caption says, “I never expected him to do that!! 🥹” and that feels like the only possible reaction. Because who would? You set down a tiny cake for your dog, hope for a cute photo, and suddenly your little guy is out here performing party tricks no one taught him. One comment called him “Such a clever boy 🫶🏻,” and that is putting it mildly. Otto is giving gifted-and-talented energy.
What makes the clip even better is how small and serious he looks with his paws up on the table. It is such a Dachshund move somehow, a mix of determination, curiosity, and a little bit of dramatic flair. He is not just present for the celebration. He is running it.
That is why this moment works so well online. It is funny, surprising, and easy to replay about seven times in a row. The setup is simple, but the payoff is incredible. A little dog, a little candle, and one very big main character moment.
View this post on InstagramAnd honestly, there is something extra lovable about seeing a pet be part of a family tradition like this. Birthday treats are already sweet. A dog who appears to understand the assignment and execute it perfectly is next-level birthday icon behavior.
Keep Pet Birthdays Cute and SafeIf you are doing a birthday moment with your dog, keep the candle part brief, stay close the whole time, and never leave a flame near a curious nose. The AVMA advises not leaving pets alone around lit candles, and the ASPCA recommends using pet-friendly ingredients when making special treats, so the safest version of this tradition is quick supervision, dog-safe cake, and lots of praise after the photo op.
Otto really looked at that candle like, thank you, I’ll take it from here.

This Cat Romance Might Be the Sweetest Love Story on the Internet
Some love stories just write themselves—and this one happens to involve two very charming cats and a Romeo and Juliet-style balcony meet-cute.
In a YouTube Short shared by @HammyandOlivia, Nori the cat becomes an unexpected love interest when a visiting cat keeps showing up to see her. According to the caption, the creator describes the other cat as a stray, but viewers were quick to notice a collar and well-groomed appearance, suggesting this mystery suitor is likely a neighbor cat making regular visits.
Either way, the intention seems clear: he's there to see Nori.

The Feline Version of Romeo and Juliethttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/YtI2-BxeEHU
At first, the two are separated, with Nori lounging on the balcony while her admirer waits below, gazing up at her. At one point, he even climbs a nearby tree in an attempt to get closer—but still can't quite reach her.
Eventually, Nori's dad brings her down to meet him face-to-face, setting the stage for what feels like a scene straight out of a romantic movie—complete with the song "Bella Notte" playing in the background.
The two cats approach each other cautiously, closing the distance inch by inch—until finally, they touch noses in a gentle, unmistakably sweet greeting.
The on-screen text reads: "Time to plan the wedding." Honestly, we support this.
Related: Mini Dachshund Becomes Foster Mom to Tiny Ducklings in a Love Story for the Ages
Viewers Are Completely SmittenThe comment section quickly turned into a full-on fan club for this budding romance.
“This is so cute, Nori's first kiss. All your auntie's across the world, love you Nori,” one person wrote.
Another added, "Sweet little charming Nori. Who wouldn't fall in love with her?"
And a comment that sums up what we're all thinking: "The cutest love story of the 21st century."
Can Cats Really Fall in Love? While it's tempting to label moments like this as "love at first sight," cats don't experience romance in quite the same way humans do.
That said, cats absolutely form strong social bonds. When two cats approach each other calmly, engage in nose-to-nose greetings or choose to spend time in close proximity, it's a sign of trust and comfort—not something they offer just any cat.
A nose "boop," in particular, is often considered a friendly greeting in the feline world. It's similar to a handshake—an exchange that signals, I'm safe, and you're safe too.
In some cases, cats who see each other regularly, like neighbors, can develop familiar, even affectionate, relationships over time. So while we might not call it a traditional love story, there's definitely something meaningful happening in moments like these.

Your Dog Can Enjoy Free Toys for a Year By Signing Up for a BarkBox Subscription Box
Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
What if there was a way to have the best dog toys and treats delivered to your home without having to step foot outside? With a BarkBox subscription, you can arrange for Bark to deliver toys and treats for your four-legged friend directly to your front door. And for a limited time, your dog can also enjoy free toys for a year when you sign up for a 6- or 12-month subscription.
This offer runs through March 31, and it’s open to any pet parent interested in having the best subscription boxes for dogs sent to their home each month. Simply select your preferred subscription, and Bark will start sending themed BarkBoxes that your dog will look forward to and love. As a bonus, the company will also provide your pup with free toys for a year.
For those who have dogs that are tougher chewers, Bark is also offering pet owners the opportunity to sign up for the more durable Super Chewer BarkBox. They can score “Free Toys for a Year” for their dogs, with no additional shipping charges, just by signing up for a 6- or 12-month subscription.
BarkBox Subscription, From $24 per month at Bark Shop at BarkBoxFree toys for a year for your dog might be all the incentive you need to sign them up for BarkBox. However, this is just one of many reasons to consider getting them a 6- or 12-month subscription ASAP.
Why Choose BarkBox?Unlike some other companies that create subscription boxes for canines, Bark carefully curates boxes for individual dogs, based on everything from their size to their play style. This allows every BarkBox subscription to meet the specific needs of the dogs that receive it. Each BarkBox comes with two unique toys and two large bags of treats.
As part of its “Free Toys for a Year” promotion, Bark plans to add an extra toy to every BarkBox as well. Each box also takes on its own monthly theme, such as "Barkbuster Movie Night" and the sea-inspired "Coral Ruff,” further filling your dog with joy and excitement.
On top of all this, Bark makes it remarkably easy to sign up for a BarkBox subscription. All you have to do is follow these three steps to see surprises for your dog arrive on your doorstep every month:
- Send Bark basic information about your dog, including their size, breed, play style, allergies, and more.
- Decide whether to sign up for a 6- or 12-month subscription.
- Wait for your initial BarkBox to arrive, and let your dog dig in.
A regular BarkBox will check all the right boxes for many dogs, but owners of aggressive chewers might want to consider a tougher Super Chewer BarkBox. The items included in these subscription boxes are designed to keep larger dog breeds entertained for longer stretches of time.
Why Choose the Super Chewer BarkBox?Similar to a regular BarkBox, the Super Chewer BarkBox features two original toys and two big bags of all-natural treats, along with one free toy each month for the duration of your subscription. This should provide plenty of options for your dog when it’s time to play prior to the arrival of their next box.
Would you like to give your dog a BarkBox subscription as a gift and set them up with free toys for a year? Take advantage of this offer by signing up for a BarkBox or Super Chewer BarkBox before it expires on March 31.
This Adorable Senior Dog Can Barely See—but Still Loves Every Walk
Her eyes are cloudy now. Her back legs do not move the way they used to. But the moment you reach for the leash, she lights up like a puppy. For this sweet and wobbly senior dog, age is just a number. She still is a good girl.
At 11 years old, this female German shepherd is in her senior years. She is almost blind, and she wobbles slightly when she walks. Her parents see it in the way she moves. But nothing changes her feelings when she hears "good girl."
As her owner noted in a Reddit post on r/germanshepherds, she still happily goes on walks for hours and perks up when doing tricks and being called a good girl.
One of the reasons why we love dogs is that they do not measure life the way we do. They do not count birthdays or compare themselves to who they used to be. They live in the moment they are in, and this dog has decided that moment is still worth chasing.
Related: Wait Until You See This German Shepherd's Heartwarming Shelter Transformation
What Are Fans Saying About It?Fans loved the care and attention this girl is getting from her parents. They said things like, "Love her while you can and make sure she knows," "She looks so sweet. She makes me want to give her a never ending hug," and "What a sweet sweet girl! Love to hear she's being spoiled in her golden years!"
One fan noticed that she looks much younger in the first picture. And her parent replied that when she was 9 years old, people were still calling her a puppy.

Why Movement Matters More as Dogs Get OlderSenior dogs need regular activity as much as young puppies and adult dogs. Large breeds like German shepherds need even more activity. Large dogs are prone to joint issues as they age, including hip dysplasia.
The key for senior dogs is not intensity, but consistency. Short walks, a slower pace and plenty of breaks will keep their muscles active. That keeps senior dogs comfortable and engaged.
How Long Do German Shepherds Live?German shepherds typically live between nine and 13 years. Reaching 11 puts this dog right in the senior range, where changes in mobility and vision are common.
But what is so amazing about this girl is that she is living her golden years as if she were a younger dog. And that is a testament to the way her parents give her everything she needs.
This dog is not trying to be who she was at 2 years old. She is fully present in who she is now. She probably walks slower and leans into her human a bit more, but she still loves every second of it.

This toy checks all the boxes when it comes to what dogs actually love.
- Built-in squeaker: Keeps dogs engaged and taps into their natural prey drive
- Rope handle:Ideal for tug-of-war and adds durability
- Ball on the end: Gives dogs an extra grip point for shaking, chewing and tossing around
- Soft plush body: Gentle but still satisfying to bite
- Playful design: That goofy hippo face makes it even more fun to carry around
It works just as well for independent play as it does for interactive games, making it a versatile pick for different play styles and energy levels.
It's the kind of toy most dogs grab onto right away—and then proudly parade around the house as they've just claimed their prize. With all the features dogs tend to love, it's also likely to bring a little of that chaotic Hungry Hungry Hippos energy into your dog's play routine.

Why Playtime Matters for DogsToys like this aren't just about keeping your dog busy—they play a bigger role in your pup's overall well-being.
Regular play helps dogs burn off excess energy, which can reduce unwanted behaviors like chewing on furniture or excessive barking. It also provides important mental stimulation, especially for dogs who spend a lot of time indoors.
Interactive toys, such as ropes or squeakers, can also strengthen your bond with your dog. A quick game of tug or fetch gives them an outlet for their instincts while giving you a chance to connect and engage with them.
A Budget-Friendly Toy Worth GrabbingAt just $7.99, this toy is an easy add-to-cart. It delivers on both fun and function without the higher price tag you often see with specialty toys. Plus, it's just so cute!
Bottom line: If your dog loves squeakers, tug toys or anything they can carry around like a prize, this Hungry Hippo plush might just become their new favorite. Just like Hungry Hungry Hippos, snatch one up before they all disappear!

Rescued Beagle Learning How to Play With Toys Tugs at the Heartstrings
A warm bed, plenty of food and water, all the toys, cuddles, and pets that a dog could want — these are the things that our dogs have regular access to every single day, so it's easy to imagine that all dogs are living similar lives. Heartbreakingly enough, though, plenty of them are without forever families, so when they're rescued, it can be a huge adjustment to transition into a life where there's more love and less scarcity.
That means that it might take them a little time to get used to doing the things that most dogs do without thinking twice about it, and for the rescue Beagle in the video below, that's playing with toys.

♬ Reflection on Peace - Adauto AssisHere, we see a precious dog named Elias hanging out on the floor, finally having a good time, stress-free (though maybe he's a little stressed about it, since he stops playing anytime he realizes his mom is looking at him).
It's taking him a while to figure everything out, and since the toys are so unfamiliar, it makes sense that he's a bit apprehensive. But it definitely looks like he's making progress!
Anyone else crying, or just me?

Elias' Sweet Rescue StoryThe story behind Elias' adoption is so sweet. As his mom explained in an earlier video that was shared last year, he was taken in by a rescue before he found his forever home, and it definitely sounds like he found the right place for him — especially since he had a built-in big sister waiting to become his BFF!
It didn't take very long for Elias and Denali to become fast friends, even going on hikes together. He fit into his family so well right off the bat, even if he did have some learning (and potty training) to do.
While six year old Elias is still adjusting to his new life, it looks like he's receiving plenty of hugs from both the human and four-legged members of his family, and plenty of patience to spare. It can be scary trying to navigate post-shelter life, but this dog has it down!

Meet the Adorable Dog Behind a Paralympian's Journey to the Top
In 2019, Australian Paralympian Taryn Dickens suffered a medical condition that led to alcoholism and a six-week stint in a mental health unit. Yet, she refused to allow her battle with cone-rod dystrophy to dictate her life in the long run.
Despite losing her vision, she continued to fight for her dream of competing at the Olympics. In 2026, that dream came true as she competed at the Milano Cortina Paralympic Winter Games. And she had a loyal friend helping her.
She shared the story of Gigi, her assistance dog and constant companion. When she lost her vision in 2019, Gigi became a source of support and stability. They share a strong bond that helps Dickens stay focused on the goal.
Gigi is not part of the official team. She might not wear a uniform or stand at the start line. But her role in Dickens' life runs deeper.
Related: This Golden Retriever's Hilarious Reaction to Olympic Bobsleigh Is Pure Comedy
The Bond Between Gigi and TarynSpeaking about Gigi, Dickens said, "When I first got partnered with Gigi, I think I was 12 months out of a mental health unit. Since then, she has just been a shining light in my life. Walking through the media and stuff like that, it's a lot more relaxing for me to have Gigi there."
The Paralympian also talked about how they have similar personalities, saying, "We have a great time together. We've got the same sort of personality, I think."
The fun part is that Dickens never skied before losing her vision. It was a totally new experience for her. But as she says, "Cross-country skiing and biathlon just gave me that independence that I felt like I was losing through the loss of my eyesight."
How Dogs Help Us Get Through Tough TimesThere is a reason therapy dogs are used in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and even disaster response. Being around a dog can lower cortisol levels, the hormone tied to stress, while increasing oxytocin, the one linked to bonding and calm.
Yet, what statistics do not show is what happens in real life. If you have ever had a dog rest their head on your knee after a long day, you know the feeling. The world does not fix itself in that moment, but it becomes manageable again.
For athletes like Dickens, that emotional reset matters. High-level competition is as mental as it is physical. Having a constant source of support can be the difference between burnout and resilience. Gigi does not care about rankings or times. She cares about Taryn with all her heart and love. Some people will call Gigi a companion. But she is part of the foundation that makes everything else possible.

Man Serenades Sun Bear, and the Finale Is Incredible
A man known for singing and playing guitar for all kinds of animals recently serenaded a Sun Bear, and the beast's reaction was truly remarkable. Equipped with his signature pink acoustic guitar, the musician began playing for the bear inside the ZooParc de Trégomeur in France. Slowly, the curious – and curious-looking – creature wandered over toward the music to get a better listen. As the song continued and the bear got as close as she could, she stood upright on her hind legs and began to sway. The bear was dancing, and as the rain fell around her, the moment looked cinematic.
One commenter agreed, "Singing to a Sun Bear in the rain. Poetry in motion."

♬ son original - PlumesSeveral other fans pointed out that it looked like the bear was mimicking the musician, playing her own air guitar while she enjoyed this rare treat. Luckily, Sun Bears are blessed with excellent hearing (but less excellent vision).

What Is a Sun Bear?Sun Bears may be the smallest of all bear species, but they pack in a surprising amount of personality—and power. About half the size of an American Black Bear, they’re instantly recognizable thanks to the pale crescent marking on their chest, often said to resemble a rising sun (and no two are exactly alike).
Despite their compact size, Sun Bears are impressively equipped. They have strong jaws for tearing into trees, long claws for climbing, and an extra-long tongue that’s perfect for reaching honey and insects tucked deep inside bark. They’re also excellent climbers, spending much of their time in trees where they rest, sunbathe, and even build nests.
Their diet leans heavily on fruit and insects, but they’re true opportunists—snacking on everything from honey and coconuts to small animals when the chance arises. And while they may look a little clumsy with their pigeon-toed walk, they’re actually quick and agile when they need to be.
Sun Bears are mostly solitary, with mothers raising cubs that are born completely helpless and dependent. Over time, those cubs grow into playful young bears before eventually heading out on their own.
Unfortunately, these fascinating animals are considered vulnerable to extinction. Habitat loss, poaching, and conflict with humans—especially around palm oil farming—have caused their numbers to decline significantly in recent decades.

Bernese Mountain Dog Earns ‘Employee of the Month’ for Falling in Love With Every Customer
When a business has a pet, the chances that I will frequent that business just so I can see that pet are pretty high. It legitimately can be and sometimes is the thing that sets a business apart for me!
One Bernese Mountain Dog is making sure a lot of people who stay at his hotel feel the same way. He walks around the grounds trying to make sure they have a good time... And then he always ends up falling in love with the guests:
@hoteldogbennyYes, your stay does include Bernese Mountain Dog cuddles. I’m just trying to check in a guest and this is what Benny does! Benny falls in love with every single guest who comes to his hotel @dominionhillcountryinn. 🏡 In his mind, every guest is his new best friend for life. Some guests come for the quiet countryside. Some come for the comfortable rooms. But Benny is pretty sure everyone is really here to see him. Share this with someone who would book a trip just to meet Benny 🐾 #bernesemountaindog #hoteldog #cutedog
♬ original sound - Hotel Dog BennyBenny the Bernese Mountain Dog is the main employee at Dominion Hill Country Inn. The hotel is located in St. Patrick, New Brunswick, Canada. It's a little boutique hotel in a restored 1890s farmhouse, and the views are great, but let's be real. If I'm going, I am going for Benny.
At this time, it does not seem like there's a package available where Benny will also sleep in your room, which is a little sad. It's for his safety, though: a boy this sweet would definitely get dog-napped by one of his many adoring fans.

"How does one sign up to work this event???" one viewer wrote.

Other viewers can't get enough of these dogs partying.
"Wait. WTF. THIS IS A THING, and no one told me," said one person.
"This is my dream life," another commented.
"Aww, I love it!! 😍😍," noted a delighted fan.
"Who let the dogs out?!?! This rave is lit! 💯💗💯💗💯💗💯," someone else added.
"Looks like the pups had a great time! 🥰❤️," another person stated.

Personally, I love that they took a party bus to get there. These dogs are livin' the life!
As you can imagine, pet parents want to know how they can get an invitation! But would all dogs want to attend?
Do Dogs Enjoy Parties and Music? As a proud cat mom, I can say that a rave would be my kitties' worst nightmare. They don't even like to hear me run the Dustbuster. One of them darts off to the basement every time the doorbell rings. So it's safe to say this party vibe is not for them.
But what about dogs? These pups seem delighted by the vibe. Experts say certain music can calm dogs. Soft rock, classical music, and reggae are popular picks. While they don't appreciate the lyrics the way we might, they do find some sounds soothing. Some shelters and veterinarians' offices use soft classical music to calm pups.
When it comes to the party scene, some dogs enjoy being social. But if it's too loud or crowded, pets can become overwhelmed and overstimulated. Of course, it may depend on the breed and each individual pet's personality.
In this case, the tunes and guest list seemed just right! Party on, pups!
Moment Blind Labrador Gets Surprised With Pup Cup Is So Pure and Wholesome
Some videos do not just make you smile, they reach right into the softest part of you and stay there. That is exactly what happens in this sweet clip of a blind Labrador being surprised with a pup cup. It's simple, gentle, and so full of love that it almost feels impossible not to get emotional watching it.
The caption says, “My favorite thing to do is surprise my blind dog with pup cups,” and honestly, it is now one of my favorite things to watch too. There is something so pure about seeing a dog be met with kindness in a way that feels thoughtful, familiar, and full of trust. It is not over the top. It is just one very good boy being given his favorite treat.
@keltysageAnything for my boy
♬ Stuff We Did (from 'Up') - Piano Version - your movie soundtrackYou can see in his reaction. The second the pup cup touches his lip, everything changes. He goes from curious to careful in an instant, almost like he is trying to make sure this wonderful little surprise is real. He is so delicate with it, so soft and almost shy, that it somehow makes the whole moment even sweeter. You can tell this treat is not just exciting to him; it feels safe. It feels like love.
What makes this hit so hard? The post caption says, “Anything for my boy,” and that really is the whole spirit of the video. It is not just about whipped cream in a cup. It is about knowing your dog well enough to create a little burst of joy that meets him exactly where he is. It is about care that feels personal. Intentional. Gentle.
One comment says, “I’m not crying you’re crying 😭,” which feels like the most accurate review possible. Because yes, this is adorable. But it is also deeply moving. Watching a dog approach something with that much trust and tenderness makes you want to hug everybody in the room. It feels like one of those tiny reminders that love often shows up in very small, very specific ways.
That is why moments like this matter so much online. They break through the noise. They remind people that sweetness still exists, and that animals feel the comfort we build around them in ways that can be incredibly beautiful to witness. This special Lab may not be able to see the pup cup coming, but he absolutely feels the love behind it, and that is what makes the whole thing unforgettable.
Thoughtful Joy Matters More Than Big GesturesThis video is such a lovely reminder that caring for a dog is often about learning what helps them feel secure, happy, and included in the world around them. For blind dogs especially, gentle routines, familiar voices, and predictable little pleasures can go a long way in building confidence and comfort. The AKC notes that keeping routines steady and helping blind dogs rely on their other senses can make daily life easier and more joyful, which is part of why a surprise like this lands so beautifully.
Honestly, the second that pup cup touched his lip, he looked like he’d just discovered dessert, inner peace, and the meaning of life—and honestly, so did we.

Golden Retriever With FOMO Forces Himself To Stay Awake When Visitors Are Over
Everyone can get that "fear of missing out" feeling. You're exhausted, but you know that party you were invited to is going to be a rager. There's a project you need to get done, but that new restaurant's daily special sounds so good. The list of things we want to squeeze into our schedules despite our energy level or to-do list is endless.
Mac the Golden Retriever gets a case of FOMO anytime guests stop by his house and fights to keep his eyes open, no matter how tired he is.
@madelyn_bissellKing of FOMO
♬ Sweet Love - Myles SmithIn the TikTok from @Madelyn_bissell, Mac was lying on the couch with a huge smile on his face, but his eyes were closed. It seemed like his face was awake, except for his eyes.
"Mac has so much FOMO that he won't let himself go to sleep when people are visiting, even if he can't keep his eyes open," the onscreen text explained.
The precious pooch tried so hard to be a part of the gathering, but fatigue was taking over. Mac probably heard the buzz of conversation, which helped him stay somewhat conscious, but it was obviously a struggle. The canine cutie looked absolutely adorable as he fought falling asleep just so he could mingle.
Followers fell in love with Mac and his desire to hob nob with friends.
"Oh my goodness, that baby is the cutest social butterfly," one gushed.
"He said, I’m not sleeping, I’m just so happy to see you that my eyes are closed'," another pointed out.
"You leave him be! He’s part of the squad, asleep or not," a follower posted.
"We think the visitors are here for Mac," someone remarked.
“'I can see them with my nose, my eyes aren’t necessary' - Mac, probably," a fan joked.
Golden Retrievers' Friendliness Linked to GeneticsA study from the University of Arizona revealed that certain genetic markers — specifically around the oxytocin receptor gene (OXTR) — are linked to social behavior in dogs. Golden Retrievers possessed an increased expression of these markers, showing that they’re biologically wired to be social, cooperative, and people-oriented.

Rottweiler Gets the ‘Makeover of His Dreams’ and His Smile Says It All
I love Rottweilers so much. I've never met a Rottweiler who wasn't the goofiest dog ever, and that's something I admire about them. They seem to always want to be your best friend, even though so many movies and TV shows try to paint them as bad guys.
One Rottweiler in particular might just be the sweetest boy who ever lived. He was recently sitting and watching his mom get ready... But he wanted to be pretty, too. He's obsessed with her blush, so she made his dreams come true:
@dycederottweiler“I feel so pretty” 💕✨ Part 2 #rottweiler #dogs #viral #funny
♬ sonido original - Juanki 🎼Dyce the Rottweiler is already adorable on his own, but adding a little bit of blush never hurt. His mom was a little bit worried about putting makeup on his skin, so she decided she wanted to make him his own blush. That's a great call, and a tasty one!
She used strawberry Nesquik powder: it gave off that pink color she was looking for, but it is safe if he licks it, and doesn't contain any harsh chemicals. You can never be too careful when it comes to your furry friend! Luckily, it worked like magic for Dyce, and he loved it.
Related: Rare ‘Golden Rottweiler’ Puppy’s Big Baby Eyes Are Pure Bliss
Classic Rottweiler TraitsDyce is about 3 years old, and he's a star! He has over 120 million likes on TikTok, and nearly 2 million followers. Everyone loves him, and for good reason! Dyce is everything a Rottweiler should be:
- Slightly intimidating, occasionally.
- Massive.
- Loving.
- Clingy.
Rottweilers want to be involved in everything you do, no matter how "boring" it might be by human standards. Dyce's mom is lucky: he wants to get ready with her! He could be sitting and staring at her with massive guilt-tripping puppy eyes!
Is Makeup Safe For Dogs?Dyce loved his little Nesquik makeover, and if your dog is curious about makeup, that's the best way to go. While we all want to make our dogs happy, we also need to be careful to avoid doing things that could potentially harm them.
Big Rottweiler smiling outside.Image via Shutterstock / Kaween chanaka
Makeup of any kind is not considered safe for dogs. There are specific "pet-safe" items sometimes sold in pet stores that you can try, but everyday human makeup should be avoided. Especially things like:
- Dusty powders.
- Mists or sprays.
- Nail polish.
- Anything with glitter in it.
Dogs have sensitive lungs and sensitive skin, so whatever you're using needs to be gentle and, usually, edible. Luckily, Nesquik checked both boxes, and now Dyce is the prettiest boy around!
