Thomas Easter, Sr.

Thomas Joseph Easter, Sr., age 67, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Tom was born on February 15, 1952 in Sullivan, MO, the son of Thomas Leonard and Anna Faye (Epley) Easter. He was raised in Sullivan and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1971. Tom was very involved in the music department, where he excelled in many areas. Throughout his life, Tom continued to play piano, acoustic and electric guitar and singing. Tom attended college at East Central College, earning a degree in Radio Communications. He was employed in the parts department at Fabick Cat for many years. Tom was a very sharp individual and had the ability to remember and recall many things. He was raised in the Church of Christ and was a member for many years. More than anything, Tom loved his sons and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved his dog, Maggie. Tom was diagnosed with cancer six months ago. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and many friends.  

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas J. Easter II, (T.J.); one granddaughter, Ellaina Easter of Sullivan, MO; four adopted children who he loved as his own, Oriyen Furdek, Brent, Kristopher and Wesley Miles; caregiver and friend, Rachael Miles of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his son, John Easter; and his parents, Thomas L. and Anna F. (Epley) Easter. 

A memorial service was conducted 12 Noon, Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Prior to the service, Tom’s family received friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan, MO.
