Thelma Lillian Miller
Thelma L. Miller, 83, of Bourbon, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home, due to natural causes.
Thelma Lillian was born on January 18, 1934 to Will and Nora I. (Dilks) Witt in Northcutt, Missouri. Thelma was a young girl when her family moved to Sullivan, MO in 1942. She grew up attending Sullivan School. On August 18, 1952 Thelma was united in marriage to Marvin Miller. They raised their family in Sullivan. Marvin went to Korea, while Thelma stayed home with their family. In 1968, Marvin passed away from leukemia; however, Thelma persevered in caring for her four children. She was kind hearted, a good cook and good at sewing, she loved to watching wrestling and loved her pets. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Thelma is survived by one son, Gary Miller of Bourbon, MO; two daughters, Terry Dempsey of Bourbon, MO; Jeannie Miller of Bourbon, MO; three grandchildren, Christopher Barve and wife Sarah of Frederick, CO; Autumn Helm and fiancé Jason Blankenship of Leasburg, MO; Rachelle Roe and husband Kevin of High Ridge, MO; three great grandchildren, Sierra Farmer of Leasburg, MO; Madison Helm of Leasburg, MO; Alyvia Helm of Leasburg, MO; one brother, Otis Witt and wife Darlene of Sullivan, MO; two sisters, Emma Schuler and husband Gene of Sullivan, MO; Beulah “Marie” Kesterson of Columbia, SC; a much loved ex son-in-law, Larry Barve of Bourbon, MO; other relatives and friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Miller; one son, Randy Miller; her parents, Will and Nora I. (Dilks) Witt; one brother, William Witt; three sisters, Gertrude Finik, Pauline Woods and Frances Houston.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
