Teresa “Teri” L. Alexander, age 55, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO.

Teri was born on April 30, 1963 to George C. Montgomery, Sr. and Jackie (Shannon) Montgomery in Oahu, Hawaii. Her Dad, George Montgomery past away as a very young man and the Montgomery family moved to Cordell, Oklahoma when Teri was two. Cordell was where they were originally from and where Teri grew up and attended school.  Teri met Greg Alexander in Clinton, Oklahoma and they were married on April 4, 1996. They made their home in Oklahoma until 1997 when they moved to the Bourbon area. Teri was employed as a waitress and in the healthcare industry as a caregiver before a back injury forced her to retire.  She was a selfless, caring person and a wonderful mom. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, playing with her dogs, camping, swimming and chatting with her friends on the phone. She was very loved by her family and many friends. 

Her son Aaron wrote, “The most selfless person I’ve ever known. I couldn’t have created a better mom. Every decision she ever made was for me and not herself. She truly taught me what it meant to love somebody more than you love yourself. You are appreciated and I’ll miss you so much! I love you mama”.  Your baby boy, Aaron 

She is survived by her husband, Greg Alexander of Bourbon, MO; two sons, Aaron Spain and wife, Jessie, of Sullivan, and Chris Dodge of Tulsa, OK; her mother, Jackie La Liberte of Reynoldsville, PA; four grandchildren, James Spain, Gabriella and Adrian Silver, and Alexander Johnson; one brother George C. Montgomery, Jr. of Hydro, OK; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Teri was preceded in death by her father, George C. Montgomery, Sr.; one brother, Michael Montgomery; and step-father, Eugene La Liberte. 

Teri was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown in Oklahoma. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan & Bourbon, MO.
