Stephen R. Prince, Sr.
Stephen Roland Prince, Sr., 69, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his home.
Stephen was born on December 21, 1947 in Sullivan, MO, to John Auburn and Frances Evelyn (Jenkerson) Prince. His father was a career military man, so Stephen attended many different schools; however, he graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1965. Stephen honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, during the Vietnam Era, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He then attended ITT trade school for computer programming and was employed by Famous Barr, Hazelwood School District, Maritz and Great West Life. Stephen was a member of the Sullivan Country Club, enjoyed golfing, being outdoors and Bass fishing.
Stephen is survived by four children, Shannon Prince of Cuba, MO; Nikki Prince of St. Joseph, MO; Stephen Prince, II of Bourbon, MO; Stacie Curtis and husband Dereck of Sullivan, MO; his mother, Frances E. (Jenkerson) Prince of Wildwood, MO; seven grandchildren, Dylan Keogh, Paxton Keogh, Maxwell Keogh, Ellie Curtis, Brantley Ramsey, Quinn Prince and Oaklie Curtis; three siblings, Carol Fenberg of Chesterfield, MO; Collin Prince of Bourbon, MO; Gail Claspill of Wildwood, MO; other relatives and friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, John A. Prince and two infant siblings, John M. Prince and Joan F. Prince.
Funeral Services were conducted 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment followed at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation was held from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
