Samantha Rose “Love” Kalmbach unexpectedly passed away in her home in Sullivan, MO in the early morning hours of Dec. 20, 2020.

Love was born on August 15, 1996 to parents Sharon and Joel in Ypsilanti Michigan.

Samantha is survived by her mother Sharon Kay Stockmyer of Sullivan, MO, father Joel R. Kalmbach of Saline, MI, sister Alexandrea Kalmbach (Nephew Cameron Kambach and Niece Aryanna Edmunds) of Dexter MI, sister Danielle R. Kalmbach (Dylan Jones, Niece Hunter Jones and Nephew Bentley Jones) of Sullivan MO, brother Ivan and Sister Lilith Stockmyer of Sullivan, MO, maternal grandparents Dan and Lynda Peake of Ann Arbor, MI, paternal grandmother Jean Ratliff of Ann Arbor, MI, Aunt Sheri (Russell) Hieber of Ann Arbor, MI, Uncle Eric (Nicole) Kalmbach of Dexter, MI, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins across the United States. 

Samantha was predeceased by paternal grandfather Thomas Kalmbach, both maternal and paternal great-grandparents, and has joined Great Aunts Sherry Ashbrook and Angela Rose Kirklin and lifelong family friends Shawn A. Macomber and Fredrick “Fritz” VanDerHyden. 

Memorial Service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2021. Spring Bluff Baptist Church located at 8730 Highway AC, Sullivan, MO. 

Samantha loved bright neon and tie-dye, her favorite being orange. We are asking everyone to please feel free to wear those bright colors in her honor as we celebrate her life. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the family to take care of Samantha’s affairs here in Missouri. The family plans to donate to the Long Meadow Ranch in her name, where Samantha was planning to dedicate her time helping the injured horses once the New Year was upon us.
