Rodney Lee Mesger
Rodney Lee Mesger, 54, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the morning hours of Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home in Bourbon.
Rodney was born in Sullivan, Missouri, October 7, 1966, to Robert and Ava (Hartung) Mesger.
Rodney was a hardworking and dedicated mechanic. For many years, he worked at Jerry Counts, then later, he worked at West Brothers, J&K Muffler, and most recently, Hardy’s Automotive. He enjoyed spending time on the river, boating with his son and other family members. Rodney has been Santa for Sullivan and the surrounding areas for the past few years. He and Lori took pride in this Christmas tradition, which brought lots of joy and memories not only to themselves but others. Rodney was a loving and genuine son, father, grandfather, brother and so much more. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.
Rodney is survived by his significant other, Lori Parker; his four children: Ryan Mesger and wife, Victoria, of Sullivan, MO, Thomas Bullock, Amy Bullock and Alisha Worley; nine grandchildren: Keegan & Kinzlee Mesger, Carson & Carissa Bullock, Noah, Dexter, Delilha, Spencer Worley and Logan Patterson; his mother, Ava Mesger of Sullivan; two brothers, Jeff and wife, Connie, and Robert and wife, Patty, all of Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Mesger.
Funeral services for Rodney were held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Cremation was to follow the service and inurnment was held at I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Eaton Funeral Home.
