Robert (Bob) Lynn Bach, born June 9, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s at the age of 72 on February 28, 2020, in Sullivan, MO.

He spent a majority of his life living in Sullivan. He attended Union High School prior to joining the Army where he served in Korea during the Vietnam war. He was particularly proud of his duties in the Honor Guard. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Missouri, where he met and married Linda (Merritt) Bach. In addition to starting a long and happy union with Linda Bach, he also started a successful 40-year career as a machinist where he worked his way up to Vice President, and eventually starting his own machining company. Prior to retiring he became real estate agent, allowing him to help people build dreams, a real passion for Bob.

He spent most, if not all his leisure time in one of two places, in the morning at a local coffee shop bantering about politics or teasing the waitresses, the rest of his time was spent working on the farm where you could find him riding horses, fixing fences, and getting his truck stuck.  He was a woodsman, naturalist, mathematician, and enjoyed solving puzzles, skills he was eager to teach and challenge his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Linda Bach of Sullivan, MO; son Kevin Bach and wife Sophia; two grandchildren Ian and Nolan Bach all of Avon, IN; his sister Carol (Bach) Cowhick and Husband Jimmy of Sullivan, MO; Rita (Bach) Heady of Bourbon, MO, as well as many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Margarite (Davis) Bach; brother James Bach and sister Wanda (Bach) Fudge.

Visitation and services will be held at the Harney Mansion from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020.
