Richard D. Williams, age 58 of Sullivan, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home.

Richard Drew was born on November 7, 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Alfred Orlean and Betty Lee (Carr) Williams. He attended school in Ballwin and Camdenton. His parents owned Mike’s Resort in Osage Beach and Richard helped them in the store, on the fishing dock and renting boats. He served in the United States Navy in Hawaii and this is where he met and married Kitty Smith. They had one son, Richard Dean. Richard returned to the Lake area and worked as cook at Jackson Hole and several other area restaurants. He moved to Sullivan a few years ago and remained here until his passing.  

He is survived by his son, Dean Williams of Baton Rouge, LA; his parents, Alfred and Betty Williams of Sullivan, MO; one brother, Clifford Williams and wife, Cindra of Sullivan, MO; two nieces, Melissa Hampton and husband Ben of Bourbon, MO, and Lindsey Jasper and husband Ben of New Haven, MO; four great-nieces and nephews, Thea and Rhett Hampton and Nolan and Landon Jasper; other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rama and Alma (Lillard) Williams and Clifford Drew and Anna Victoria (Roam) Carr.  

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at First Assembly of God in Sullivan, with Pastor Kyle Phillips as the officiant. Burial followed in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan. 

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, at First Assembly of God in Sullivan. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, MO.
