Rev. Jimmie Francis Beebe, age 86, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Cuba Manor in Cuba, MO surrounded by his loving family. 

Jimmie was born June 26, 1933 in Sardis, OK, to the late Judge Lee and Bertha Lucinda (Smith) Beebe. He was united in marriage to Doretta Ellen Bacon on September 27, 1951. Rev. Beebe began his ministry of God’s Word in 1966 and continued until his health became too much. He ministered all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri, holding revivals, children’s crusades, and pastoring churches. Rev. Beebe enjoyed singing, spreading God’s Word, reading his Bible, playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids, baseball, woodworking, fishing, coaching little league and working at the Assembly of God youth camp. He will be greatly missed this side of Heaven by many family and friends.

Rev. Beebe is survived by his wife, Doretta Beebe of Bourbon, MO; three children:  Brenda Kay (Larry E.) Garrison of Bourbon, MO, Larry Paul (Barbara) Beebe of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Randy Dale (Melody) Beebe of Poplar Bluff, MO; six grandchildren:  Kristi (Jeff) Scott of St. Clair, MO, Misty (Jordan) Frith of Texas, Melissa (Reuben) Popp of St. Clair, MO, Brian (Brianna) Beebe of Chicago, IL, James (Carrie Ann) Beebe of Tucson, AZ, and Lacy (Kyler) Sowell of Poplar Bluff, MO; five great-grandchildren:  Victoria Beebe, Kathryn Poarch, Paige Scott, Corvin Popp and Hagen Popp; one great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Beebe; two brothers, Charles (Jane) Beebe of Abilene, TX and Lishel (Patsy) Beebe of San Angelo, TX; one sister, Barbara (Bobby) Harvey of Vernon, TX; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two brothers, Billy and David Beebe; and one granddaughter, Brandy Beebe.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rev. Beebe’s memory to Lasting Hope Assembly of God Church, Bourbon, MO.

Funeral services were conducted 12 p.m. Noon, Monday, January 20, 2020 at Lasting Hope Assembly of God in Bourbon with Bishop D. Kent Miller as the officiant. Interment followed in Bourbon Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Noon, Monday, at the Lasting Hope Assembly of God, Bourbon.
