Randolph ‘Randy’ Franklin McClary

Randolph "Randy" Franklin McClary, of Owensville, MO, was born on Sunday, August 28, 1949 in Bourbon, MO to James Elmer McClary and Martha Lillian (Pennock) McClary. He passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO at the age of 71 years and 10 days.

Randy accepted the Lord early in life. During his younger years, he worked at Zephyr's Truck Stop in Sullivan, MO and also provided wrecker service for some time. On February 14, 1976, he married Antonia "Toni" Marie Sevcik in Denison, TX. Together they raised a blended family of 5 and a special grandson, Danny.

After marrying Toni, he was an over-the-road truck driver for 35 years. He would haul freight out and produce back. Upon experiencing health issues, he transported RV's for the last 8 years. When she retired, Toni traveled and vacationed with him occasionally. They had just returned from a vacation in Montana when he was diagnosed with cancer. Also, his daughter Wendy traveled with him on many trips.

Randy enjoyed music and was very talented. He played the guitar with his mom, aunts, uncles, and cousins. They had numerous blue grass jam sessions. He also delighted his nieces and nephews by playing Santa Claus through the years. Other interests including fishing, hunting, mowing grass, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Martha McClary; sister Dee McClary; brother Jimmy McClary; and brothers-in-law Herman Gould, Richard Wirz, and Dave Hodges.

He is survived by his loving wife Antonia "Toni" McClary of Owensville, MO; son Dale McClary of Owensville, MO; special grandson Danny Bacon and wife Jill of Rogersville, MO; daughters Wendy Wood of Gerald, MO, Chonna McClary and Tonia Foster and husband Glenn all of Sullivan, MO, and Tina Firestine and husband Albert of Colorado; brothers Brad McClary of Sullivan, MO and Jesse "Jay" McClary and wife Renie of Leasburg, MO; sisters Debbie King and husband Ralph of Leasburg, MO, Donna McClin and Della Hodges both of Branson, MO; sisters-in-law Charlotte Gould of Arizona and Barbara Wirz of Rolla, MO; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family on Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Owensville Masonic Lodge located at 311 E. Lincoln Avenue, Owensville, MO. The family has chosen cremation as his final disposition.

All arrangements under the care of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
